Nortan/symantec/McAfee?

i have no clue where to post this, but whats the difference betwen NAV and SAV, and out of NAV, SAV and McAfee, which is the best? some website does this thing where if you have a .mil server you can download all the antivirus programs that usually cost money, so i got all three of these and put them on my home computer, i just dont know which one to install. from what ive been able to find SAV will be the best. just wanted to see what everyone here things and which that have used.

I use Norton on my laptop and McAfee on the desktop. If you have AOL service, you can get McAfee for free. I feel that McAfee slows down the system more so than Norton.

i used Mcafee a long time ago on my windows/desktop, it slowed it down alot now im on a mac/laptop. for now im trying symantec, until i know for sure which would be my best to use
