Common courtesy is dead anymore. I was brought up with decent manners, too, and completely agree with your rant Scotsman.

I hold the door all the time, If its a good looking girl ill sometimes even go out of my way....like hold it for a bit. I have made it quite obvious before that people need some Common courtesy classes or something. I just open my mouth, like your welcome *******, or that could be replaced with B****...depending on the situation. I seriously didn't know that it was that hard to say thanks or make eye contact and nood..rude ass ppl

Ive always hold the door open for anyone, thankfully I don't get a thankyou on a rare occasion. But when I do its irritating as hell..

I feel you on this topic. I was brought up to say yessir/yes ma'am, ect. and hold the door, open the door for my lady, ect ect. No one ever says thanks, kiss my arse, anything, and it pisses me off. But what can yah do? I love being brought up with respect and manners.

I've also noticed that this varies depending on location as well. I always try to help out and be courtious to others. Up here(north GA) i always tend to get a thanks or the such, but down towards ATL. people seem to stiff up a bit. Oh well. :2up:
