Im not big on the toyota game...i did own a is300 but thats gone naw boy do i miss her:( but on with the point of this thread. my co-worker has a 92 mr2 non turbo t top and hes trying to sell it for me for 1500...says the tranny is bad or something but other than that its fine...i went and looked at it today it was about a 8/10. Im just wondering whats everyones opinions on it and whats the potential of this car? i know you can swap the 3s-gte but i aint got money like that right now. But yeah what do you guys think get it or no?

If I have the money and it is not a t top I would hit it.
Nothing wrong with t top, just I do not like the look of it.

yeah im pickin it up just gotta figure out whats wrong with the trans. I think it needs a rebuild not sure. Anyone know anyplace that rebuilds transmissions cheap. Thanks for all the input!

Hey Tank is your car in a shop right now? I swear i saw it at my co workers buddys shop in marietta. Maybe not though....

I own it now. It was at R2B2/AAP Motorsports from september to a few weeks ago.

I will say that the MR2 is a money pit and a headache.... but its all worth it in the end :)

Its a VERY fun car.

The 91 N/A was the lightest of the SW20s. The 91 N/A with a 3rd gen motor will put you in the high 12s - 13s with few mods.

im on staff duty its a 24hr meaningless duty and i hate it i get off in about 2 hrs though and thats cool i guess lol

word thanks for all the input...ill be looking in getting the 3sgte in a few months but ill keep it basic for now its my DD till i fix my integra anyone know if the transmission from the model before will fit this one?
