Stainless Steel Brake Lines

i'm trying to get my whole brake setup complete. i have already installed my ceramic pads, soon i will obtain my brembo blanks, and replace my rear calipers with oem replacements more than likely.

next on my list that i am unsure about is the SS Brake Lines..i'm not sure what brand to get. i was looking on ebay and i found these, they look great/good and seem like the best bet:

but the first ones look better suited for what i eventually plan on doing, hopefully getting no a track or do a lil auto-x.

also i was informed that Motul brake fluid is the way to go when replacing my brake fluid since it is more suited for heavy braking and temps? any other recommendation or is Motul more than enough?

DO NOT GET THOSE PIECE OF **** MAGNUM LINES. i bought them and had both lines bust within a year. they ****ing suck.

just spend a little extra and get some goodridge lines. guaranteed quality, i wish i would have. having brake lines bust is not fun.

+15 to you..even found some SS Brake lines for my truck i didnt think they would have.

anyone have info on brake fluid?

unless you are doing formula one driving on in the car, any dot3/dot4 fluid will work. you cant go wrong with motul fluid, it cant hurt you.

if you're gonna get aftermarket brake lines, go with a known thing like goodridge. for fluid, valv syntec, ate blue/ty200, ford racing (haven't tried this myself) can all be found relatively easy AND cheaper than motul and all should suit you well.

Goodridge for the stainless steel lines and just research the different fluids paying attention to the wet and dry specs, ATE Super Blue is probably the most recommended for a spirited driven street car or you could pay up to $75 p/bottle for the Castrol SRF.

the ATE Super Blue brake fluid..is it available at local parts stores like advance, napa, autozone?I used it with the Porsche brake setup with no problems and Raceworks uses it on their Honda Challege/NASA cars surviving several 13 and 10 hour endurance races with no problems...not including the 20-30+ other events they run per year. When a race team runs the exact same car for 10 years I tend to trust their choices. :goodjob:

I'm sure Big Baller will come in here vouching for his experiences with Castrol SRF, I haven't used it but on paper it is definitely a far superior product...but it costs 5 times as much too!

At least get Goodridge or Russell lines. And RBF600 will work fine for you.

Nopi sells them for $100 for most cars

Just make sure you get the coated steel brake lines. Goodridge makes some that are coated with rubber.

I have goodridge steel lines on my max, after $120 I did not notice pedal being any more responsive...I would pocket the money and upgrade to 6th gen brakes

Yeah the goodridge lines come as a set of 4, so I replaced them all lol.

And then you obviously have to bleed the brakes, I just used dot3 brake fluid. But I don't do any crazy driving or racing though....

I wanted to get my pedal tighter and more responsive, sammich, it feels the same. lol Save money for upgrading to a 6th gen bbk, 6th gen calipers/bracket/rotor/hawk hps and your good

i dnt wana do all that work...just want a tighter pedal, not upgrading brakes, cuz i dont plan on doing no course or auto-x...although i'd love to get into it, there are no local tracks to do that here. thanks though

I have some 8 feet of Goodridge lines, u can run them from portortion valve to rear brakes...... I was gonna do that, but i just deleted my rear brakes altoghter!

i SHOULD bring my truck to you so you can convert my rears to disc brakes since ur so brake savvy haha. i dont know what to do right now about getting my pedal firmer...
