Ok seems like several of Ia has traveled Abroad, so lets name some things that are different in different countries, besides the obvious of Money and Language.

Here you actually give your tip to the waitress not leave it on the table, and you have to ask for the 'ticket' (Check) bc if not you'll jus sit there all day bc they are use to ppl coming in dining and chattin for hours. And paying for Ketchup..At McDonalds. lol Anyone else?

England - Never say the word fanny when trying to think of a nice way to say ass. (made that mistake at easter dinner with 20 people)

Amsterdam - You can buy weed, you can buy beer, but its illegal to sell both in the same store.

China - If you tip the server he/she will be offended and will probably throw it at you.

Many many more...

Those are like the toilets here in Korea. Also its rude if you leave a tip for a waitress. In Iraq men only use women for making babies. Men use other men for sexual pleasure. Thats about all that i can think right now.

swifty

Apparently, in an English pub, if you turn your pint glass upside down, you're signifying that you want a refill.

In an Australian pub, if you turn your pint glass upside down, you're apparently looking for a fight.

This is probably a most hilarious opportunity for hijinks.

I'll confess that this is hearsay, I read it somewhere, I've never verified it with a member of either nationality, so... take with a grain of salt. :)

I lived there for 9 months and was at pubs quite often. I suppose its one of those things that people tell you to get you in trouble. Example: You finish a pint in a pub in the UK and tip your glass upside down spilling the residue everywhere it will result in the bartender awarding you with a smack upon the noggin.

well in nova scotia they dont peel the shrimp before they fry them and serve them to you... lol, jp, that actually happened on accident at one of the resturants in yarmouth we went to. it was quite funny. i asked the waitress after we got our food and took a couple bites... i said, "ok i know its a given i'm not from this side of town, but down in the dirty south we like to peel our shrimp before we fry them..." she was like OMG! I'M SO SORRY! so yeah just a funny story from when i went over there...
