The Datsun Nissan Infiniti Shootout, March 16 2008, Silver Dollar Raceway, Reynolds, GA
http://www.dnidrags.com/images/SEZ9LOGO1.JPG
You are ALL invited. This is the only drag racing event of it's kind in the country and should prove to be an exceptional time for everyone who has ever wondered what their car can do in the quarter mile.
There will be time indexed competitive drag racing, test & tune and an exhibition class. Large Cash prizes for competition winners, trophies, a raffle where you can win one of several nice prizes, including a Nitrous Express nitrous oxide injection kit.
This event is open to ALL Datsun, Nissan & Infiniti vehicles, from bone stock to highly modified. Don't want to compete, you can still Test & Tune all day. No experience necessary. Don't have a Datsun Nissan or Infiniti? That's ok, bring what you have and test & tune with us.
Exhibition class will be open for anyone who can run the quarter mile in less than 10 seconds flat (9.99 and below) and may be limited to 1/8 mile passes based on track conditions (keeping it safe).
This is the first time that we've offered any type of pre-registration or discounts. Competition spots are sure to fill quickly, so pre-register today to guarantee your spot and save $5.00 off of your tech pass.
Click HERE (http://www.dnidrags.com/) to get all the details and let's get this show rolling...there are less than 45 days until the event!
Thanks,
Warren & the rest of the DNI Staff

Just a quick note, pre-registration for this event is currently scheduled to close on March 1st. Time is getting short to get your name in for a competitive racing spot if you're driving a Datsun Nissan or Infiniti. You'll still be able to compete if you don't pre-register, but the tech pass will cost you $25 instead of $20. Remember though, you don't have to drive a Datsun Nissan or Infiniti to attend the test & tune.
Pre-registering will save you $5.00 off of your tech pass for test & tune too. This could be a good time to work out the winter bugs that your car may have developed.
As a courtesy, here's a direct link to the Pre-Registration Page (http://www.dnidrags.com/prereg.html).
Thanks,
Warren & the rest of the DNI Shootout staff

Nah, NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED... If you've never been down the track, you're still welcome to compete. Everybody has to start somewhere, and this is as good a place as any. Nobody will be laughed at.
The competition is for ALL Datsun Nissan and Infiniti drivers who can run the quarter in 10.00 seconds and up. Below 10 second runs will be in the "Exhibition" class. The competition will be run "bracket" style, where you write your own Dial-In. The tower will delay the start of the faster car to make it fair.
To keep it interesting, the fields will be 10.00-10.99, 11.00-11.99, 12.00-12.99, 13.00-13.00, 14.00-14.99 and 15.00 and slower. This way, you won't be lined up against anybody more than 1 second faster. One second can be made up by the faster guy having a bad start, missing a shift, spinning the tires, etc.
Make a few passes down the track during the Test & Tune session and then decide. You can buy into the competition if you want to. 16 car fields will compete for a $500 win and $200 runner up. 8 Car fields will compete for a $250 win and $100 runner up. Trophies will be awarded to winners and runners up.
Even if you don't want to run your car down the track, the Exhibition class will prove entertaining, as some of the fastest cars in the Southeast will be running grudge matches for your entertainment. Ever seen a 7 second DATSUN?
Don't forget about the raffle either. We're giving away some GREAT raffle prizes too, like a complete Nitrous Express kit for either fuel injected or carburated cars, a complete engine gasket kit and a case of WIX oil filters. Somebody will even win a certificate for a complete paint job for their car. Other prizes will be awarded too.
There will be lots to do and see for every attendee, even if they just want to spectate. Click HERE (http://www.dnidrags.com) for all of the details.

First things first, NHRA rules apply. Click HERE (http://www.dnidrags.com/rules.html) to see the all of the rules.
Test & tune is basically run what you brung (provided it's safe), get a time slip, and do it again...as many times as you want to. The DNI Shootout Website (http://www.dnidrags.com) explains it all. Check it out for all of the details. Almost every question you could have can be answered there.
ill be there like last yr
