LOL are you kidding me? you honestly think they are grindcore?
let me guess, your reasoning is because of their myspace huh? you must also consider them afro-beat too then huh? :lmao:
grindcore is screaming vocals
aquabats are more ska/punk than anything

I like music with ska influences, but normally not straight up ska.

i think they're grindcore because thats my opinion.. i didnt know they had a myspace.
they dont incorporate any trumpets or horns in their music. that's a major thing for me to like most ska bands.
ska is aliiiiive!!!!

RX Bandits, Streetlight Manifesto, Big D and the Kids Table, and Leftover Crack are the only guys keeping any semblance of ska going. Op Ivy is classic, same with old Rancid but nobody does it any good in modern times then the bands I listed before.
Groove Stain's good for a local band. I've never seen them live but heard they put on a good show.
I whet my teeth on ska shows back in my middle school years, I dont listen to it as much nowadays but ska shows are the best in my opinion.

One of my good friends used to be the drummer for groove stain.
I saw RX Bandits with KOS and Gym Class Heroes at the Masqerade.
People that wear Rancid clothing annoy me because i bet 80 percent of the kids that wear it never listened to old Rancid Ska Punk.
Reel Big Fish are awesome, no doubt about it.

Same could be said for all the mall-punks who wear Ramones shirts but only know Blitzkrieg Pop from playing Tony Hawk's pro skater.
Some other good ska bands:
The Slackers, Against All Authority, Arrogant Sons of Bitches (RIP), Choking Victim (RIP), Citizen Fish, Face First, Less Than Jake, Mad Caddies, old No Doubt, Voodoo Glow Skulls, etc these are just some that I've listened to throughout the years.
In the words of Propaghandi:
Ska sucks. ska revival isnt cool you stupid ****.
The bands are only in it for the bucks.
And if you dont believe me youre a schmuck.
But the trend will die out with any luck.
Yo ho. yo ho.
Rudy, a message to you rudy, a message to you rudy.
**** you rudy!
Reps for everyone in this thread.

theres a few tunes by the clash that are ska-ish, but have no trumpets or any of that.
reel big fish, bosstones, goldfinger, theyre all badass. anybody who says ska is dead probably listens to shinedown and distubed or whatever other ****ty ass music gets played on 9sux.1

Last year or the year before RBF put on a free show for Emory students that I went to, but got kicked out because a guy picked my keys up and threw them knowing I was saying, ''Hey, those are mine, man.''. But I also saw them at the Roxy in '06.
