Some of you dont care about this but seriously gtfo then. But anyways this gate is just as important to Korea as to the White House or any other US Landmarks. And ontop of that I was talking to my grandma about this and my great great great great grandfather built this 600 years ago. Pretty upsetting and sad

Damn thats sad when history is destroyed like that. I agree with Ahmonrah, even if you rebuild it its not the original.

i guess protecting the top national treasure was out of the question....obviously wasnt secure enough if a70 yr old man can get in and burn the thing down

sad though, to see something people take pride in destroyed

I dunno, maybe it was a factor that it was a national landmark and they figured no one from the country itself would try to destroy it. I guess they wanted people up close to it so they can appreciate its beauty.

there's metal gates and enclosure. Cops patrol but this guy went beserk did something got inside and had a major bonfire.
