OK so narrowed it down pretty much. It will be a 05-06 sti (whatever is the better deal when the time comes) Or the 03-4 cobra
Ok soo its the end of ze world.. nNo. I cant choose
OOHK SOO.. your opinions.....
Im selling my STi to clear my all my debt, CC and such. Then Im going to buy another car. I have 3 cars that I have been quoted on insurance and will purchase one of these soon. I honestly cant choose from them. Some of yall would say no contest bla bla supra. Things that matter the most though about the next will be insurance cost, drivability, cost to tune/mod, purchase price.
order im thinking
1. 06 STi
~ Prolly be the most expensive car
~ Has 4drs
~ Prolly has the least miles and a WARRANTY :goodjob:
~ best to drive daily
~ least beat on most likely out of the 3
~ best all around
2. 03-04 Cobra
~ Most expensive insurance
~ Cheapest to mod (vs. what i would do to the others)
~ Just love the car!
~ A terror at the track
~ Not my fav on looks
~ Still a ford ( haha )
3. Supra turbo
~ cheapest on insurance (crazy haha):goodjob:
~ most expensive to mod
~ hard to find not overpriced
~ would worry more about miles on it
~ I mean come on its B-A

cobras are just nasty, although the Sti and Supra aren't bad choices

i say cobra simply because they re easy to mod and cheap and tons of support. plus i just dont like supra's. sti's are nice but for $ per mod the cobra would be more rewarding + rwd

Thats is pretty much my delima. But I love the AWD/4DR its really a coin toss with those. insurance will go up 450 every 6months the cobra vs the sti though

then go test drive a cobra and compare it to your sti and see which one you like more and are more comfortable in.

my mind says sti because i want one so bad. my heart says cobra cause i love stangs, use to have one, and plan to get an older one next year for a project. i would go sti.

If you can afford the Supra, go with that. There are more Cobra's and STI's on this forum than Supra's. At least more that frequent if you get what I'm saying.

that wasnt exactly why i was asking (or reasoning im pondering).. Supras arent that expensive.. I would spend more on a STI
but reps to all for the input

But that's just my reasoning. ;) If I could afford those cars I'd go with the Supra out of the three. Lol.

Most likely the sti, its just more practical. But my second choice would be a supra; japanese muscle...

I say Cobra but I am biased.. LOL
The cobra is very street friendly while being an absolute monster. The are very easy and cheap to mod, to an extent. We also have some of the best tuners in the country at our back door. You can get a Cobra with about 20K miles for low 20's now and they hold their value great. The STI will be a little more reliable but the cobra has a cheap fix to almost everything. I have had mine for almost a year at almost 500RWHP with nothing but an alternator go bad.
I love the car to death. I would also look into c5 vettes!!

if you can make the dough get the surpa. i would, cobras are great and all but Im more biased toward a supra due to the fact I love that thing to death.

i would choose either the sti or the cobra if its a daily driver. Supras are awesome but, lets face it, the cars are old and cost a ton of money still.
as far as sti vs. cobra go find a cobra with a pulley swap and test drive it, your mind will be made up after that

Why sell the STi just to get another one? Part it back to stock and roll on that and you'll end up much better financially then if you sell it and buy a newer one.

I've driven a bpu supra before and it feels insane! With just a turboback, intake, and boost controller that car moves! I would go with the supra but I know it's a b!tch to mod if you want to go big. I don't know much about cobra's other than the fact that if they're pushin around 400whp that equals around 350whp for others. LOL
You already have knowledge about STi's so you could or would be able to start fresh and mod it the way it's supposed to be. The problems you told me about, were weird ones, so you must have done something wrong. Lol, so just go with the STI.

Supra + a beater = good times...
Not only do you not have to worry about putting miles on your Supra, but your insurance will be even less because you can get rated on the piece of **** and list the Supra as a recreational type vehicle.

Either way, you are only "rated" on one vehicle, so you get rated on the busted ass one :-)

If you don't get the 03+ Cobra you'll become a failure.
When I was younger I lived off hwy 78 near Bugman...He'd mash it every now and then getting on 78 in his, sounded like a fighter jet + 10 Harleys all at once...Since then 03+ Cobra = sex.
If you don't get the 03+ Cobra you'll become a failure.
Agreed. Go for sonic blue...
