Hey Nem, you dont have to unlock to customize. Only reason I unlocked is so that I could use my T-Mobile SIM. But you can mod it, and keep AT&T

I didn't want to unlock mine for a while, but one day I just did it. All the third party apps are worth it. There are hundreds.

Oh...and for the record. I'm thinking about getting a 4GB iPhone when the price comes down some more, or get it cheap/used from someone for a backup phone. Sometimes I don't feel safe taking my Kaiser to parties and what not, lol. I don't think I'd stress too much if someone stole my iPhone though...as long as it wasn't my Kaiser.

BTW, what did you use to unlock your 1.1.2 and be able to put different themes on it? I had only been able to find the hacks for the 1.1.1 and iphonehacks.com hasn't been useful when it comes to hacking/modding anything after the 1.1.1.

The Touch is really nice. I like having a keyboard better though, so that I can text while driving without having to look down at what letter i'm typing. You can kinda "feel" out what letter your typing on the Tilt, and I like that.

Meh...AT&T's not so bad. People make them out to be so evil and what not, and they aren't. It actually comes up to about $334 after tax and stuff. I sent in my rebate about 1-1/2 to 2 weeks ago, still waiting on it but I think it may have come already, just not to my dorm.

Sorry, some of us actually need to receive our emails immediately and have other built in features such as a GPS whenever we're doing routes or business trips, let alone creating, editing, and emailing documents on the spot without having to haul around a computer/laptop.

Atleast according to AT&T's Coverage map on their website. There's a big hole next to macon, warner robins looks good, but south GA is spotty.

Modding the PPC isn't hard, once you get the hang of it. But at first, it gets confusing with the different .cab files that have to be installed from the directly from the phone, or the ones with the windows installer, that are installed through the computer.

Playing with WA and WAD is a whole other level though. That sh!t takes forever to get the hang of, and even after you get that down, it still takes a long time to actually make it do what you want.

Yeah man, I totally understand. I had my phone for 2 months just playing with it before I decided to mod it. The thing is, you really have to set aside an hour to go thru the entire process. The steps dont take long to complete, but you have to read the directions pretty closely the 1st time thru. I messed around and was trying to jailbreak my phone and watch a movie at the same time. Bad move.

jailbreak is a software modification. it can be deleted from your phone, almost as easily as deleting an MMS or phone number.
