Watch it for a while, it switches back and forth. I think its just a really long repeating image that cycles back and forth. It kinda clips when she changes direction. We all know its not true anyway because imbosile saw clockwise which means he is more "logical". LOL.

That is what I was thinking. My room mate and I watched it together and saw it going different directions at the same time. We both saw it switch and saw it switch at different times.

It would spin clock wise for me for a while, then he'd say it switched....but for me it was still the same way. Then it would switch for me but not for him.

Very weird.

It is always spinning in one direction. It's your perception of the image that changes, not the direction. If you don't believe me, then watch it with a friend. You'll both see it rotate in different directions, occasionally.

I notice that it switches direction when you watch the reflection of the feet, then look back at the body. I think it works by tricking your brain into alternating the rotation by not giving you a point of reference. The same thing happens when you watch a vehicle's wheels on the highway; sometimes it looks like they are spinning in the opposite direction than they really are.

Perception in deed!

Try looking at the reflection, that helps me to change it.

i can get both of my 1/2s to see the image at the same time :D

its a classic example of perception, its just a picture that flips back and forth, your brain makes it appear to be going in circles and which direction its actually going, i can see it either way
