We wouldn't quite call ourselves fans of the Fast and Furious franchise, but we're getting more and more impressed with this newest iteration of the Subaru Impreza WRX STI. We'll admit that it's hardly the most attractive hatch on the road, but its blend of planted purposefulness and flared fenders have slowly made converts out of some of us.

Could it be made uglier? Most certainly. But the crew at Veilside are supplying a kit for the new STI that will make its debut in the new Fast and Furious sequel. The Rally Blue 'Rex is getting a full work-over at a shop in Southern California before Paul Walker (aka Brian O'Connner) takes the helm and our friends at ExhaustNote.com were able to supply some pics in the midst of modifications. While the new front bumper and precariously placed spoiler might not suit everyone's taste, the full roll cage could mean that better (non-CG, please) stunts are on the way.

i dont believe it, you'd think they'd learn...tokyo drift cars were amazing...whats the deal.. dont they go to car shows/meets and see the JDM rides and hi-horsepower "clean" supras and stuff, and wonder why no one with a seriousness in tuning has an ounce of fiberglass or a hoodscoop? the people behind these movies need to bring in someone from a professional shop or something to be more authentic

I'm quite proud to say that I've never seen any of the F&F movies. I quote em from time to time, but that's based on the fact that everyone quotes them.

However, I hate to say that without that rikockulous roof scoop, that suby might actually work.. That's the nice thing about modding ugly cars.. they just move from one form of ugly to another.

honestly i don't think its all that bad... if i remember right this is supposed to be more "rally" ish and stuff... but honestly when did you see a "stock looking" fast and furious car? so i mean it was to be expected but i like said, i enjoy the wagon look of the new STi i think it'll be great once everyone gets over the initial shock etc etc... 80% of people on this site HATED the change when the last gen of STi/WRX came out... so i don't put much Emphasis on the new body... it will perform great and people will come to enjoy it....

Don't waste your time trying to defend it. They write a script that they know will get them millions of dollars, even if it doesn't make sense. If you defend the new movie, it causes continuity errors in the old ones.

I agree.. I went to the movies and saw all of them and i got them all at home on dvd also - I'll def. be going to watch this one. I'm just a car junky and any movie that comes out that displays cars moving fast - has a ticket purchased by me..

Anyone remember the chase seen in Ronin.. man i wanted an audi with a bottle so bad after that! haha.. old school or even better - the movie Wrath.. That dodge car sounded so sweet.. stilling waiting for my crate engine that looks like that. :goodjob:

Disgracing the Subaru? LOL! It's a flippin 4dr hatchback that looks like a Ford Focus or Mazdaspeed3. It's nothing special. That was probably the dumbest reply to this thread so far.
