I would rather see them get assistance from subaru since Toyota is the largest shareholder in Fuji heavy industries, rather than getting assistance from Yamaha like they did with the 3sgte or 2zzfe.

As of last year, General Motors sold it's shareholdings of Subaru to Toyota.

So why whould Toyota spend money to develop a new drivetrain when they can just use a Subaru one that has already been developed and proven to work?
