i was thinking the same..

its not the actual plate your paying for, its the registration under that number, and the registration is represented by the plate..

so yes, you pay that much for a "plate" per se but its mainly for THE legal registration..

And no, you cannot go steal it and sell it on eBay for that much since its useless.. Nobody can start a business like this since its issued from Derka Mohamed Vihad (DMV?)..
