I'll make it quick. I'm 21 and will be renting a car up in Ohio from the airport for about 3 days (give or take) while visiting my cousins before I leave for Parris Island.

Well, I was looking through the fine-print from Budget rentals, and for anyone UNDER 25yrs is charged an ADDITIONAL 25$/day fee on top of their regular rate. Anyone know if any rental companies DON'T charge an additional fee for under 25yo drivers?

enterprise does not ever charge me extra for a car, I've been renting cars from them since I was 21.

Lookin' like Budget and Enterprise are my cheaper bets. All others are a minimum of 50$ on a 3-day rental. And I'm looking in the economy, compact, and standard rentals. So...these are nothing fancy.

Seems alot of places charge and extra 25-35$/day.

Still doing a little research...

Dude when i was in hawaii for 2005 new year, i had to cruse on bicycles... there was not one company to rent out cars to people under 25.

...are you serious about Hawaii? Did you try the companies that are located at the airport...?

I'm probably gonna surpass getting a car...it's just too expensive with that extra charge per-day. I'll find someway around it. Probably taxi's and buses and crap, which sucks...but it's still a ride, and I can get by without...saving me like 200$ give or take. I'll put that into a nicer hotel :goodjob: LoL Or better food...

See about Enterprise's weekend deals.. they only charged me $120 for Sun - Thurs. The rate quoted me online was wrong (and PS.. it ALWAYS is) and I bitched at the manager and he gave me the rate quoted online. Careful with the ideas of taxis.. they can easily and quickly cost more than rentals. :goodjob:

Well, I'll probably hook a ride from Dayton, Ohio down into Cinti ohio from a friend of mine who lives up there in the area. I can check into the hotel, and I'll wait til the girls (my cousins) get outta school, and then they can pick me up. I'll probably be flying friday morning/afternoon, and stay til monday night since they've got monday outta school...and monday night before I hop the plane, I'll probably grab a couple beers with my uncle, and have him drop me at the airport.

The only reason I was considering renting a car was to get to the airport from the hotel, and hotel to airport, and I've got the covered. The rest was just gonna be the luxury of going into cinti at night.

Man, I can't wait to get that military discount, LoL.
