If anyone is familiar with the area around the I-85 / 285 area. We need to find a location with exit # just off the interstate where all the groups can meet and make the cruise up 85 as one :cheers: :goodjob:

I will not be running the hatch this time around. She will be sittin' pretty at the show though :doh:

I have not even come close to getting a launch down (plus I want to get some slicks when I run her) so that is the main reason. Not to forget that is about 95 miles from my house which would be one hell of a tow bill :crazy:

I dont think turnout is going to be an issue, theres lots of dedicated sportsman guys coming from a far. the last nopi race that was in GA back in 2006 had sportsman guys from maryland, penn, newyork, jersey, florida, all sorts of places.

Yes, racing will be held on both days. Saturday will be qualifiying and eliminations. Sunday is eliminations.

The best day appears to be Saturday.
1) Longer hours: Saturday: 8am - 10pm -- Sunday hours: 8am - 6pm

2) You get to see all the cars run on Saturday

Why don't y'all just take 85 north all the way and find somewhere big and closer towards your destination. Hamilton Mill Exit and Winder Exit(126) both have Publix's right on the exit. I'd recommend exit 126 though since the Publix in the exit before 126 gets crowded alot. Y'all can go into the Chateau Elam Publix Shopping area and there should be tons of parking space available because there are alotta stores around. Park in the back parking spaces closer to Blockbuster. There's also a BP & Bank right next to Publix. A Shell's gas station is the other way about a few seconds in the other direction. Waffle House(Brand New Building) is also next to Shell's. Across Shell's is even more parking space where people drop off their cars and carpool with others to work. It should be vacant on weekends. Also, the exit after Winder(126) going NORTH has a few parking lots also, especially @ Cracker Barrel which is right off the exit. Mcdonalds, Xaxby's, Wendy's, Chevron, Shell's and Pilot gas stations are on this exit(Braselton/Winder). The Exit after (Braselton/Winder) is Exit 137(Jefferson/Gainseville); this exit is where the PENDERGRASS FLEA MARKET is @ and its on the left hand side of the exit which should have plenty of parking space if the flea market isn't full of people. The exit after that is 140 which is nothing but the BOONIES! Anything after that would be Commerce/ATL DRAGWAY. :goodjob:

126 would be the best choice; less traffic and more convenient to go in and out of. Good Luck in choosing a hot spot!:cheers:

weather sucked, just got back.. Rain, stopped, rained, stop, and cold.. And didn't even get judged today. They stopped judging and didn't even bother to tell us, me and some folks stayed until 5:30pm to wait to get judged... Show is very unorganized tho.. Even if you pre-registered online(no packets were mailed), so you waited in a long line at the gate for the people to find your tickets and pull them, and then you have to go to the registration tent tell me who you are and they give you a form to fill out the registration, but with all the info that was already filled out online... Kinda stupid and ineffecient... I am glad Nopi Nats doesn't do that.. And 1 of the guys that are judging, is also the 1 that is handing out forms and they had to wait for everybody to finish registration before he can judge.. Thats what he told me..

The main attraction is drag racing and it shows not much thought went into the car show part. I realezed this after walking the far side where all the trailered cars were and also as mentioned above. The registration papers could of at least been pre-printed :gay:

Man this ****ing **** sucked the weather was horrible i just got back home, first of all i when for one day saturday paided 60 bucks for me and my girl it stinking rained all day so no drag races at all, and the when i was leaving i tried to get my money back and they said i could come back today just bring the ticket stub from saturday so i went and got a hotel room 80 bucks and went back today it didnt rain but then i realize the big dogs were packing up and leaving so i went to find out whats going on, come to find out they cancel the races period and they didnt tell the spectators at all, so if people didn't know what the deal was, ill tell you one thing alot of the racers were mad as hell they were burning out before they pulled their cars onto their trailers, over all it was wack people, so unorganized like all the guys said :(

I am not believing that after dropping almost $100 ( for 3 days admission F, Sa, Su ) to help a friend out at the race, and not getting hardly any track time other than the Friday night local run, they cancelled the race and would not even give out any rain checks.

The IA nation should announce a boycott of the next event in September and just show up an clog the parking lot by cruising thru stopping and having a huge party in the free parking area...

What a bunch of $hit...I actuallly thought this would be better than NASCAR but even they will give out rain checks or run the race on Monday when only 10% of the fans can return to watch.
