A drunk guy hit our parked F350 last night and flipped his car...

I can't sleep, so I will tell the story.


So, last night Dan and I are in bed sleeping. At about midnight I hear a big bang and see a flash in the window after it. I had taken some tylenol pm so I was kind of our of it. I didn't think the bang was that loud at first, but then I realized it was loud enough to wake me out of my tylenol pm induced coma. Anyway, Dan goes to see what it is. He comes in and I ask him what it was. Dan is a real chill guy and in his chill guy kind of way he says, "Some dumb a$$ hit the dually." So, I ask if he is still there or if he left the scene. Dan tells me, "He ain't gong anywhere." At this point, given Dan's calm demeanor, I think it's just a fender bender. So, I go outside to have a peek. As it turns out (LONG story short), a drunk guy had coasted into our dually, moved it 20 feet out of it's spot and on to the sidewalk. Not only did he move our big a$$ dually when he hit it, but when he hit the fender he flipped his car and ended up right side up and into a pole backwards.

We think the dually is totaled. The axle and leaf springs are broken along with a few other things from what we can tell. It also seems like the frame is bent.

So, yea...yay for drunk driving and double yay for not being able to sleep!

I don't have pics, my tenant took them since our camera was at the shop and I have to get them from her....which is why I didn't post this yesterday. I knew it would be a lame thread without pics. The one and only time I have seen Dan for real, for real upset as at the NOPI Nationals this year. Thats the honest truth. Some of you may have seen it on TV. He is VERY serious about his money and if you f.uck with it, he does not play around. That's probably why the shop has made it and is calm demeanor is awesome for our relationship since I am a crazy woman.
