Well most of you know that I have 2 GS-es, a GS3 and a GS4. Well, the GS3 is sitting in the garage undergoing some engine bay cosmetic upgrades among other things. The GS4, however, is getting another phase change!

Can you guess what is getting done to the GS4?

This is the GS3 as last seen

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/1-13-08%20SSI%20Shoot/Day47.jpg

The GS4 as last seen looked like this

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/12-14-07%20SSN/DSCN8561.jpg

Here are pics of the GS4 today at my shop where we have torn it apart starting the change process.

Now the trunk set up is just stupid. This ginormous box has got to go. I will be making a new custom box and making it a more clean install with some room for groceries.

Give me a couple of weeks guys to complete the GS4. The GS3 will be ready to come out and play again in the next couple of days.

Did I see the GS4 at the World of Wheels show? Looks real clean! It seemed desperate for an audio setup tho, good to see its in the works.

Wow bro, that's balling. It went through a lot since the last time we show together. Keep up the good work. Let's go for some Pho when we can.

thanks, but i think you saw my gs300 up there when you dropped off your bumper. the gs300 has carbon fiber all over it and the silver wheels. my gs400 has the black wheels. either way you'll see alot of both the cars at the shop since i work with bucky.

Looks good. what kind of change are we expecting to see?

nothing too drastic, just a little cleaning up here and there, painting pieces, redoing the audio setup, and some lighting changes. thanks for the compliment! the gs4 is not my show vehicle so i am keeping the mods clean and sleek. whereas the gs300 is styled for show.

i got a pic of it last night :) will post it when i can :)

lookin gooood, i never knew you had two gs'.

-edit- ok i lied, i cant find the pic :(

haha, yeah maybe we can do the shoot to incorporate both of my GS-es but just feature the gs300 more?

You saw the gs300 at the world of wheels. i don't have a dramatic audio set up in the rear because i like the clean and oem styled install. i am getting some other things in the trunk like nitrous so that'll add a little more to the look as well as maybe a tv screen but no fiberglass. i am not a fan of fiberglass. i also drive the car a lot so i like to have the room in the trunk to carry things around.

nice always wanted a gs..... wanna share one?

lol one day bro, i have my eye out on a 95 GS right now. i may be starting a jdm twin turbo build but we will see how business goes.

Just the GS3 was there...

i moved the tires and things to the side and parked your car in between the two rooms.

please tell me your going to fix the exhuast, for a more custom look! :)

if you are talking about the gs300 then i might be doing something later on next year but i like the look and sound of it as it is now. for the gs400 i just got those twin hks axle back exhaust and it sounds mean with the v8 under the hood. i particularly like the way that the two sit tucked on the rear lip like they do. makes for a clean look when the car is lowered off the jacks.

Wow bro, that's balling. It went through a lot since the last time we show together. Keep up the good work. Let's go for some Pho when we can.

yeah the gs300 went through a lot of changes since our last show together. the gs400 wasn't even a thought then but now it is coming along and will make for a great show car when my gs300 is down in the shop as i have a lot planned under the hood. definitely need to get some pho man. just gimme a call!

I THINK you are thinking about the other one...the 300. This is not the one he normally shows with.

you are right i don't usually show this one but i am making it a back up show car.

i thought he said that BOTh cars where changing!

both cars are changing. you are right. but not to the extent that you may think. the gs300 will always be my focus of improvement and change.

Wow...another phase change? I thought you just changed a few things last time I saw the GS3! lol.. I had no clue you had 2 GS's either. Nice...can't wait to see the outcome.

yeah i did last time you saw but that was like last week! lol you blink with me and you'll miss something! thanks man, i can't wait either.

Awsome!

The other day a black cherry GS4 rolled in my job. ****ING HAWTNESS! Sittign on the ground with 20x9 20x10 JP wheels. I wish I had my camera. It looked similar to this gs same wheels but black cherry and not as much camber.

yeah i think you are talking about gato's old car. i don't know the name of the new owner but they are on this forum. very clean car. i think he is in the army and the car stays in a hanger.

haha, that's fine bro. i don't really know of that many locations. that pic was from when i went to chattanooga for the world of wheels there. i figure we can go out to lake lanier or something like that for some pics. or find a parking deck somewhere. we can go up to my old college at american intercontinental university in dunwoody.

hey thanks guys again for your feedback, here are the updates from today. did the trunk today. i know it isn't 100% professional. it works for me though. clean, simple, and i still have room for groceries.

here's the box before i did anything with it. just crazy big and no room for anything.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/GS400%20Build/DSCN9137-1.jpg

so, i cut the box in the rear to the depth specified applicable on crutchfield for my speakers and then resealed it. i wanted to make sure they had enough room to hit hard but also give me my trunk space back.

from further away

I made a faceplate for my system by using 1/2" mdf particle board.

Closer up, I know I need to clean up more i.e. vacuum up all the mess.

Well, i've gotten a lot done today at the shop with the help of Bucky (owner and operator of SuperStar-Customs).

SuperStar-Customs of Duluth (pm me for quotes) tinted the tail lights for the GS4. We did a simple smoke and clear. It is about 20% tint comparable to window tint.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/GS400%20Build/DSCN9159.jpg

I put the rear seats back together and buttoned her all up.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/GS400%20Build/DSCN9160.jpg

Painted the calipers red with a cheap Duplicolor brush on kit. Should look nice sitting behind the black Donz Montanas.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/GS400%20Build/DSCN9157.jpg

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/GS400%20Build/DSCN9158.jpg

These are all the pieces that Bucky has primed to paint black to match the car. I wetsanded them prior to primer.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/GS400%20Build/DSCN9144.jpg

Hooked back up the Kenwood double din dvd receiver. Armando Perea of Precision Audio (pm me for quotes) did the initial wiring up of the head unit.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/GS400%20Build/DSCN9149.jpg

This was the bass remote knob that i was talking about earlier. CarbonIS had the idea to put it in the ashtray. I just executed the install.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/GS400%20Build/DSCN9152.jpg

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/GS400%20Build/DSCN9154.jpg

Here are the new H.I.D. ballasts from Nitro-H.I.D. (pm me for quotes) they are shiney and polished. I got 6000k's.

that's most likely the one. i know an IA member bought it back late last year. i knew the original owner. screen name was gato on the clublexus.com boards. beautiful car. btw, your wheels are gonna look sick after we are done with them!

I love that GS3, I'm not sure you're going to be able to top it in my book :)

they are pretty affordable now. you can get your hands on a decent one under $15k

you need to put a hood emblem on it (like the vip cars in japan)

thanks for the idea but neither of my gs's are VIP. trust me. i would be flamed for life on the VIP boards. that black cherry one however is all VIP!
