ya just tell them about your offense (making a sharp u-turn on a two lane road) and ask them what you should do to keep your liscense) they will either tell you that you can fight it in court or that you will have to surrender your liscense when you get the letter in the mail

not sure, never had one sent to me, but i do know once you get it you have a week to take it to the DMV. also your suspension term does not start till you give it to them

it is your responsibility as a driver to know all the laws. that is how they get you because they have so many ****ed up laws the cops dont even know them all... **** sucks i got the same ticket and there was a sign that said u turns ok i pointed it out to the cop but he said he was the law i got the ticket any way so i got a lawyer and he told me to take pictures of the sign for court. well i go to court to try and keep my license but when i get their they changed the law and made it illegal at that intersection i got ****ed but the lawyer got my suspension reduced to 3 months and cost me 900 bucks ****ing stupid laws.

umm if you committed the offense BEFORE they changed the law then they cannot charge you with it. look up "Principle of Legality". its one of the 7 principles of criminal law. it states "no crime can be commited nor punishment imposed without a PRE-EXISTING penal law." they had to have changed that law before you did the u-turn. sorry bout the crim justice lesson.. :blah: just got out of class
