Just wanted to post this pic and see if this is how anyone else ran their intercooler piping on a BB6.

Well....ok I'll be honest.....I'm just excited about the turbo project and wanted to share my excitement :D

Why does anyone do things to their cars? Because they choose to, because they like it, and they enjoy upgrading/customizing their cars. People can flame me all they want. As long as I enjoy my car, no one else's opinion of it's appearance should matter.

No need to apologize. That is your opinion and I respect that.

Im the FIRST person to always say as long as it makes u happy. But I wasnt putting your car down, i was asking WHY you did those things If your happy with it, so be it. I've got a V6 mustang that boosted. lolol.

Well I appreciate your honesty. I wanted something different; something that wasnt "follow-the-crowd". No worries bro.

I havent set a pressure in concrete yet, I'm going to finish the build, take it to get tuned/dyno'd and see where we end up.

I bought the block brand new from Honda so I could build it out. So I'm really not looking to part ways with it.

I don't understand?

They are prone to pop fairly easy compared to the B16/18

Well like I said, I'm going to boost this first motor and see how things go. If it pops, I'll have my new block finished and ready to swap out. No worries

Yeah, the one I've got in the car now is fairly new. It's got roughly 30k miles, runs strong and is moderately built. We'll see though. No big loss if it blows.

i actually like the rsx taillights but idk about the headlights. i think i've seen your car somewhere online before. anyways about the ic piping i would go to somewhere like preludezone.com or preludeonline.com b/c there's plenty of write ups about this topic.

Thanks for the honest opinions and not just jumping right into flamming me about it. Hmm I didnt know about PreludeZone.Com, I'll have to check that site out. Thanks bro

turbo h22 bad news on stock block. will maybe last 20,000 miles. research into FRM sleeves. ring lands are prone to breakage too. just fyi...not hating though. good luck on the build.

Thanks for the info. I'm not boosting the stock block more than 7-8 psi so I think I should be fine while my new block is getting built. Getting my slim fans in today, still waiting on some douche bag to send me my injector clips then I'll be ready to fire it up for the first time. I'll keep the thread updated with the progress.

IMHO... The GT35r is too big of a turbo to run on the stock block. When boost kicks in it will kick in really hard which is not good on the stock block. I'd suggest the gt30r. it gives a more steady predictable power curve without the instant rise in power and can produce almost if not the same amount of power as the gt35r.

I'm not a fan of your cosmetic mods but if you can pull it off more power to too you :goodjob:

Thanks for the info on the turbo. What do you mean "if you can pull it off" ?

Thanks

Just finished up the install tonight and did the first-time start up. Cranked right up and sounds good. Just need to get it to the muffler shop for the downpipe, then to Balanced Performance for Ed's famous tuning. I'll keep everyone updated with dyno numbers, specs, and setup info.

i have never seen a h22 run more than 6 psi and survive more than a couple of months.... and if you are goin to build the block i would talk to that guy with the accord in the forsale section.... i seen his build and he is willing to show it off.... he has a folder where he documented everything.... his build is almost flawless.... not goin to call you a ricer bc to each his own.... i don't like the headlights or the tail lights but hey i don't really like the 5th gen headlights anyways i like the fourth gen better it looks meaner.... it has thet sqint eye i am goin to kick your a$$ look lol
