can anyone give me an estimate on how much more hp would i get from .25mm over pistons in a b17 block

You won't really get any justifiable hp increase. That alone will be very minimal.

thanks^ the only way you will make any more power is if your current piston rings are fried and you have no compression. Boring the cylinders .25mm over is enough to clean the surface up enough so that when you install the new .25 over pistons and rings, the compression will be back up to the normal range. There is also a very slight increase in the C/R when you run oversizeds pistons, but .25mm over will only make a very minimal change.
