He is just trying to rationalize his spending money on the car and insurance that it was worth it.

i'm with ya on the money for the car but not on the insurance. my gsr is the highest $ cost in my insurance followed closely by the s2k. vette is the cheapest followed by the durge. and they are all fully insured. :2cents:

it was the same when i only had the gsr and bought my 1st vette in '02. i couldnt believe the vette was cheaper but now with the way they rate the car on accidents that type of car has on top of cost of the car. it's all about the # of incidents and the cost of them. so, youger people buy tegs, get in more wrecks and they cost more to fix than most of the vette are the old guy that bought it scuffed his bumper. :rolleyes: crazy, i know, but thats how the insurance company makes more money!! :no:

Yup. Insurance is cheap on Corvettes.

I can only see myself letting my car go for one of 2 cars. I'm in absolutely no rush to get rid of it either. It's a blast to drive and cruise around in. Handles really well, has tons of torque, gets lots of looks, easy to maintain and ultra reliable.

So, unless a Porsche 996 or 997 or a C6Z comes along with a deal of the century, I'll be hanging on to my car for a bit longer.

He wrote that VERY well! Though my car is under construction, I am still considering a C5 vette...insurance isn't expensive and they actually get good gas mileage for the power, and they aren't that expensive of cars..too bad the economy's starting to really blow ass..

where I go, people look at me, when I stop, I get compliments Ha ha... right cause so many people never see vettes. They are as common as a mustang.

Not knocking the car, they are the the best package for the money, and I wouldn't mind owning one.
