Is there a local place that will do a basic set up for cheap? Or am I better going after an ebay kit and piecing things together?

Just need a simple 2.5inch kit and doesn't need to be anything super complicated at all...

for cheap? no. If you know some1 at Mineke maybe they can piece you one together. piping is piping right? it'll be heavier but cheaper.

Order the bends from JCWhitney and make it yourself...Or google mandrel bend piping and look for the bends you need...Doing it yourself should only cost you like $100

Go to a muffler shop and get some of their scrap (ask first of course). You can get 2.5" piping and then just weld it up.

Most muffler shops arent gonna have mandrel benders...More than likely they will have crush bend piping...

i'm not going to use crush bent piping on an intercooler == i was under the impression that's not going to do me any service. I'm not concerned about slightly less flow but i don't know about the physics of having disruptions in the bends for an induction setup

there is a small shop in gainesville caled palmer muffler and brake, he has a mandrel bender and does all of my work, he has on hand aluminum, stainless, aluminized, and various other piping and can do it all on the spot including welding, 770-531-4400 ,he is as redneck as they come so he might be hard to understand but he does it right for a GREAT price at that.

EBAY LOL

ebay kits are a great way to save money... lots of the datsun guys with built motors running 20psi and up use the ebay stuff... it's just piping anyway and it is mandrel bent

I dont see anything wrong with using Ebay intercooler piping, just be cautious with the other stuff.

I second Mr. Kidd's suggestion. I bought mine from Treadstone Perf. and have had no issues. the kit is alumminum with bead rolled ends and has the BOV flange already welded and requires minimal cutting
