Revlimiter Question

i got a serious question regarding my revlimiter. I installed a new cruise control sensor yesterday and now my check engine is gone but now it doesnt show my speed (MPH) and i cant go past 5,000 RPM on the revlimiter even though its set at 7,000 RPM :???: anyone know what the problem is and a place where i can get it fixed?? PLEASE lmk.....

the car is a 2003 WRX with a 2006 STi swap.
