ok guys me and my boy done a motor swap for a old lady. its a stock 2.2L auto , the motor was Blown so badly from neglegence of changing oil . anyways , we got the new motor in and got everything hooked up and a good battery and when we try to crank it the starter doesnt engaged ie . Nothing happens except the fuel pump comes on .i tested the starter and its good .. checked all fuses , made sure all the grounds were getting good connection, Anti theft system is a go , so please tell me why when i turn the key it wont even spin over ? the motor spins freely and is not locked up by any means ........ we have had the car and been working on it now for about 2 weeks and its time to work on HONDA's ONLY .... tired of these dumbestics .... someone please help me out here ... i dunno wut else to check . :???: :???: :???: :???: :???: :???: :???:

Automatic transmission I assume? Check the mlp (multi lever position) switch. Its a range switch that tells the computer what shifter selection the transmission is in. You might want to hold the key in the start position, and move the shifter around.

Also, make sure that the yellow wire at the ignition switch is getting power, but that's after you've determined that there's no power being fed to the starter, aka the purple wire that powers up the solenoid.

there is power to the starter and the starter works motor an solenoid ..... jus when you turn the key the starter doesnt react .. at all .... 12volts on the terminals of the starter .... no cranky

do what Init2winit told you to do. if u hooked up something wrong at he tranny and the car thinks its in D R 1 2 and not in N or P the car wont start up check to make sure anything is hooked up right at the tranny
