i honestly don't know. My first car was a 2G and I kinda miss it. I would love to get a GSX or something like that. What I would really really love to get is a 98-99 GST Spyder Black with the tan leather. And then go from there. But it's a ***** finding that combo with a 5spd. No way am I driving an auto again.

8. something ill want to own for atleast 5 yrs and its not part of a fad!
9. can take it to the race track and only needed change is race tires!

There will be a build thread as in the next few weeks it will be running and things will be rolling on the project.

AustinWhat's the rules for that? You know I got my '96 328i for less than that then sold some parts off it and traded some more for a complete e30. As it stands I'm still well under the $2,008. Basically have a clean e30 and M52 swap for a grand... :ninja:

The problem is the just the clutch and suspension alone will be $3,500-4k...then the turbo setup...then the e30 M3 body work...and the...then...haha.

If I just spent the remaining grand on good shocks and springs and tires then it should be elgible and still be a relatively quick car for $2k, 2,400-2,500lbs or so with 200hp.

Yeah man i've always wanted to do it. Just to have some fun and for the experience.

What's the rules for that? You know I got my '96 328i for less than that then sold some parts off it and traded some more for a complete e30. As it stands I'm still well under the $2,008. Basically have a clean e30 and M52 swap for a grand... :ninja:

The problem is the just the clutch and suspension alone will be $3,500-4k...then the turbo setup...then the e30 M3 body work...and the...then...haha.

LoL Yeah. There are some serious cars at the challenge, but i don't really plan on winning. Im just doing it for the experience and to have a good time building a swift daily driven street brawler for $2000 bucks.
Me and a guy i work with are doing it, he's building a sweet 320 (e21), and were going to go down there together. Its gonna be rad. You'll see my E30 around Autofab sometime in the next couple weeks since I'll be dropping a motor in it soon to get it on the road and start driving it daily.

Maybe in a few years i'll do it and build something off the wall that will actually finish well.

As for actual cars i'd really like to aspire to have, im hoping that by next year or the year after i'll be poking around in an STI, but i doubt it LoL. Probably just pick up an E36 M3 late this year and build it up a little bit.

first off why wouldnt I? Those 66' and 67' Novas are beautiful. I decided im not selling my STi so to have the STi race prepped .. and prolly a old honda for a to b.. Im not seeing the "Y" in all that.. (the vette engine under the hood too) I would love to have one to cruise on Sundays in!

PS. i usta have a rsx.. leave that car behind and move on up.. It really changed my feelings on cars. since i got my sti.... Even my friends will admit.. I have a different respect for them now

Nah jackass. And the mods on my car he didn't pay for either (which is a lot more than the car was new). Did he pay for the car originally yes and I'm grateful as hell for it. But I've worked my ass off for what I've done to it. Quick little rundown for you... worked ever summer fulltime since I was 15 (so as soon as it was legal), worked my ass off in school and got good grades and scholarships that pay for school tuition plus a few grand a semester, and I also worked during the year doing odd jobs when I can. Now I just started my own company with a friend of mine with the 20k I've managed to save and earn on top of whats in my car. So far we've made 5k each and we've been operating for a month and not even full capacity yet. So shove it up your ass you piece of ****. Maybe if you gave a **** and did a little work you'd have something to show for it too.:2up:

As it sits now, I'm just waiting on the release of the GTR. I'll probably pick up a second year model if they come out well. It will depend on how they do if I pick one up. Otherwise, I'll probably go with the C6 Z06, but I'm having trouble getting a white one that isn't the Ron Fellows Edition. Blah...

So, GTR, maybe C6 Z06...or maybe I'll just get another 911 turbo. I have time...
That's probably because there is no C6Z06 offered in white other than the Ron Fellows edition. You'd have to do a white C6 coupe and do the Z06 widebody conversion on it.

Instead of dropping over $25k in my Z06, I could've easily bought a nice Porsche or C6Z and modded them lightly. As it sits though, I wouldn't have the money I'd want to mod either car the way I'd want comfortably.

My next car will be a 996/997 or a C6Z, no aspirations here. :D

After suspension, I'm done modding my C5Z. Then it will be on to bigger and better things. 750awhp Porsche or a 600rwhp naturally aspirated C6Z w/ a 100-150 shot. :D

Although, I can't see myself getting tired of my current C5Z anytime soon. It's too much fun picking on the Porsche guys.

The NSX's are underpowered, 290-300+hp isn't enough for that car but it is still a fun drive. I've had a couple chances to run them pretty hard and i'm far more comfortable in it than most sports cars...and getting one sideways will put a smile on anyones face ;)
