It beat the Bugatti Veyrone (i think thats spelled right) for the title of worlds fastes production car. The guy that test drove the car said that after the test was over when they checked the tires that all for had began to melt.(a similar thing happen to the Veyrone)

the Veyron costs 1.2 mil for an '07

so you can have either 2 of the worlds fastest car or 1 bugatti... your choice

IMO, The veyron is fugly. I would defenately take the SSC over the Bugatti.

1st of all the Veyron is a greater acomplishment than the SSC.

But for those of you that disagree... Ferdinand Piech Porsche is hell spent on changing your mind on this possible track weapon!

Bugatti "Project Lydia"

Power would likely come from a retuned version of the Veyron's 8-liter quad-turbo W16, which was long reported to be under-rated in its power production of 1000 hp, and is tipped to produce 1175 hp in the new version.

But more important is the fact that this cars goal isnt a top speed #, but a Nurburgring lap time of 6 minutes and 40 seconds. That would be much more impressive for a road car than 240, 250, 260 mph!

Estimated cost will be around $4,000,000 a car. But it has yet to pass the drawing stage....*fingers crossed*

I'm more a fan of the Veyron. For something in the realm of those speeds I'd take a good look at the Saleen S7 twin turbo, though. Now THAT is a handsome car.

I'd still take the veyron. A Veyron is one of the ultimate luxury and performance cars, all the SSC has is its performance.

^^ realy? why?^^

The Veyron has all these exotic gizmos, unique style and class, and is a wonder to the world lol.

The car posted is just.....I don't know, does not strike me as an exotic masterpiece but a machine to beat the Veyron.

i think the ultimate aero looks better, it has a better looking profile than the veyron, it actually looks like a very fast car, the veyron is like a bubble
