Both are awesome machines in my eyes. Personally, and I'm sure there will be a few that disagree. But I would take the 911 over the new GTR without a second thought.

The only reason i would take a 911 over a GTR is because simply.. you roll up somewhere in a 911 and people go "oh he's got money" but if i was racing all the time, took my car to the track, this that the other, i'd take the GTR over the 911 in a heartbeat.

It's sad that Porsche is looked upon this way. That is why the "911"s ended for me. 997 is coming back to what it should have been but it's nowhere close to how they were.

I wouldn't say that. There are some that are just loyal and like to stay in the family. It isn't always about who's got or who flaunts their money. The ones that usually think that way are the ones who do not own the cars.
