yeah i agree that we're cheap... and a lot of people are pretty un-educated on what makes "JDM" styled vehicle (myself not completely excluded). people think that if they have the STYLE then it is... now i will say that i would buy rotas. i just cant see myself paying $2000 for a set of wheels when these horrible ass country GA roads are going to wreak havoc on them BUT on the same note, i KNOW that they are remakes and im not going to argue that mine are real or mine are better... an original wheel is of course better and i do lean toward buying some cheap japanese wheels rather than a remake. the main thing that i dont like is people throwing stuff chinese and american stuff on their car and thinking its JDM when the f*cking acronym is Japanese Domestic Market!!!! i think if you put non japanese parts on your car its ok, but just dont poof your own feathers by thinking your the sh*t... JDM is popular because the real deal is rare and people like to see what everyone doesnt have. a simple example is the japanese running tags. the fake ones are everywhere and people are proud of them, but the people that have real ones are who i appreciate because they are fairly hard to come by and they have heritage... they have japanese dirt on them!! come on... ebay stamped tags cant touch that. and i bet a bunch of people dont even know what they mean... i got mine from NAIZBST and i did research on them and figured out what the numbers mean and where they were issued. i wanted to know what i had and not just put it on to have it there.

I know what JDM stands for and what it used to mean but now most people accept that it is a generalization for a bigger style trend. Atlanta needs to up its game. Too many interpret "JDM" to mean a near stock body and ****ty knock off wheels. Its become a cheap shell of a quality yet conservative style. I think its a joke to see people go cheap and not really build their cars right them claim its because they like the stock look yada yada yada. Conservative or not you can always tell a quality build in the details. Looks at the fasteners alone on these cars. I do not see many quality cars in ATL. The ones I do see with quality are usually more over the top big show audio style cars.

This show proves that any car honda or not can be amazing. Its that a lot of people suck at building cars or have at the very least screwed up priorities. Most cars I see are built with sub par parts so that the owner can check it off his mod list faster. The cars come out looking like Buford Hwy garbage.

I would like to see a quality ATL show. Something that could rival the X-Rated show back in like 2001(?). One that has a original venue, a real vehicle theme (ie, jdm, clean, race whatever), and most importantly a tight review process on the competing cars.

About us paying more for shipping. Thats retarded. We dont have to pay CA taxes on our stuff. They make more but their cost of living is a lot higher too.

It's just as easy for us to get part, but this coast is too cheap to pay for quality. They rather rock gsr blades than works or advans. Rota is so popular that when you got "real" rims they get mistaken for them. Like yesterday at the meet, I had a dude argue me down about my wheels. He asked me what type of wheels I had. I told him Watanabes. He tried me by responding "They look like Rotas to me," like I would lie about my brand. ****** pissed me off, but I played it cool and showed him that symbol and he knew what's up then.your rotas look good bro!:taun:
