This is a Caraman 9mm. I never heard of it. This is the gun I carry in Dominican republic.
The Gun Market over there is nuts and pricey. Cost me $500.00

I have never heard of this brand and have tried to find info on it and nothing came up.
Let me say, One of the best 9mm I ever shot in my life. Easy to take apart, No recoil or very minimun. Takes 15 in the mag and one in the head.

Brand : Caraman

Caliber : 9mm

If anyone know any info on this gun, let me know. I would like to purchase some more magz for it since I only have one.

All it said on the gun was CARAMAN and the serial numbers.

After a little digging, this is what I found.

http://www.recguns.com/Pictures/Images/FN.JPG
Seems like the closest match, with a modified grip. That grip is.....difficult to say the least.

FN Hi-Power
Manufacturer: Fabrique Nationale D'Armes de Guerre
Model: Hi-Power
Country of Origin: Belgium
Caliber: 9mm Parabellum
Feed: Magazine, 15-round capacity
Modes of Fire: Single Action
Safety: Left side only
Sights: Fixed rear, fixed front
Sight Radius: 6 1/8"
Length: 7 13/16"
Width: 1 3/8"
Weight: 32 oz.
Barrel: 4" steel

Do me a favor and weigh it without the mag, and take some length measurements to the best of your ability.

The problem with it is, being that you got it in DR, whatever it is, it's not actually a 'Caraman'. It's a common practice for gun importers to buy entire guns made by another company, then simply stamp their name on the receivers. I'll look through some of my gun guides and see if I can dig anything up.

The Ninja

Lol, I don't know what a receiver is..... :lmfao: I know **** about the mechanics of guns, just basic stuff.

hnm.. not a heavy gun at all. Really confortable to carry and shoot.

D-ninja. On my next trip I will take messurements on it. I dont have it with me since I can't bring it overseas. I keep it locked up over there.

And it is stamped CARAMAN, thats all thats on it + serial numbers.

If I could take a close look at it I might be able to tell, but that looks to me like a Sov-Bloc weapon. When you say 9mm, is it 9x18mm Makarov or 9x19mm Parabellum? Not using Makarov 9x18 would pretty much rule my idea out. I've spent the past 20 minutes or so searching, and found a few that look similar, but that grip is really...unique. O_o

After a little digging, this is what I found.

FN Hi-Power

After the digging I've done, I tend to agree with this, it looks like a version of a Browning/FN Hi-Power. If you can find a hi power mag at a gun shop, take yours and compare it, but I'd definitely say that it's going to be the closest thing.

***** i'm right, now GTFO before I fix you a hot cup too.

The grip can be easily replaced, but look at the screw placement on the grip, identical. If I were in Julio's situation, I'd buy the clip to this gun, being pretty sure it'd fit my gun.
