depends on how often u plan to use it. may want to keep it down to a 75 shot.

damn, a 100 shot?!?

i would do a 75 shot at first to see how it acts, and if it takes it good then maybe up it

Start w/ jetting for a 50 shot wet. I suggest NX or Zex for 1st time nitrous users. I also suggest a decent header if you want to see the gains from the gas. While your literature will suggest pulling timing for such a small shot, u really do not need to... it's an "idiot" safety that they dial in. I'd start pulling timing 1) dry shots or 2) above a 50 shot wet.

You will need the kit, and some good plugs. Do a compression test before you spray any 4CYL. And do not get greedy - learn when/how to use it effectively before you up the jetting. Going over a 75 wet shot (w/ timing pulled) and you are asking for it as a new nitrous user.

I do NOT suggest a 100hp shot on your setup unless it's progressive. Get a NOS programmable timer and also run the pulsoids that I ran on my EF:

Enjoy.

and i guess its just a pet peeve of mine but...

why would the thread title be "NITROUS ON A REX"

u are putting nitrous to the motor, and since u have a motor that never came in a crx, ever, i think it would be 'nitrous on a ls" or "nitrous on a b18"

sorry to rant, just crx (or chassis in general) is irrelevent to the question.

thnks ill do the zex kit and try the different jets. also i would be using it to race not driving.

me personally, I wouldn't run NoS untuned or without upgrading my fuel system.

PS:

Do NOT mount the solenoids in the engine bay or the firewall. Mount them INSIDE the car near the pax side footrest - up on the INSIDE of the firewall. A few degrees warm/cold and the solenoids will start to stick. If u are unfamiliar w/ what the "hit" feels like you will stay on the button and 1) live to laugh about it if it's the nitrous soilenoid that stuck or 2) rebuild some sh.it if it's the fuel solenoid that crapped out. It's a little more labor intensive but TRUST ME - it's how you want to do it. Your fuel system can handle the 75 shot wet. If you can spring for the NOS pressure gauge, then do it.

Oh yeah - bottle heater - NIGHT AND DAY!! I sprayed for a year b4 I got one and I felt like an idiot for waiting so long. It really wakes things up --- even in the mild climates like GA.

That's why i need to find out if i have to build the bottom end cuz ive been comparing prices for a setup and i need to know if i can run a small shot just to get my feet wet on the track then if i crank up the shot what i need to run safely. Also the bolt ons i have from my integra im taking them off n putting them on the rex.

me personally, I would invest in bolts, cams, and tuning 1st. If that doesn't do much for ya, throw a 50 shot max on top of that and get your car dial in for it. Take baby steps :goodjob:
