Health care reform should be a top issue. The US provides great cutting edge/advanced care, but not basic care compared to other developed nations. Not to mention 1/3 of Americans are obese, compounding things. I'm weary of reform though, the general public has no real idea and only eats up propaganda.

I said the article was trash. I know several Canadians that drive over the border to the US for what they call "quality and readily available" health care they can't get @ home.

That is because their doctors come here for higher pay, not the structure of the health care.

It is illegal in Canada for patients to pay physicians directly, physicians are compensated by the gov't. However, in certain regions the gov't has turned the other way and doctors have started providing services to patients tired of the long wait and charging them directly.

Very tough issue.

I would say healthcare is considered a big issue this election. Go to any candidate's website and you are sure to find some info on their healthcare ideas. Don't let the media tell you what is important and what isnt.
