anwyays
the car got all OEM bumpers, so it woudl fit better (irony at this pint right)
I have two lip kits, 3 bumpers, 2 trunks (one with the wing), and the correct hood, a grill, and the right headlights.
All im waiting on to come in are the lip kits and hood. THen the car will 100% better, pluts its getting painted next week.

toe is how far in or out the tires are angled, toe-in is like someone being pigeon-toed with their toes pointed to each other, toe out is the opposite
how it affects tread-wear should be self explanatory

yeah, he has that huge contact patch, but doesn't let it contact, it lowers the surface area of contacting area, putting more pressure per square inch on the surface area of the rubber thereby increasing the forces of lateral friction under movement, thereby rapidly decreasing the tread life. also, the performance probably goes DOWN with such little rubber actually hitting the road. Toe in adds gripp because the outside wheel in a turn will stretch outward and the outer sidewall side will lift off of the ground, a toe in, however has the tire leaning inward, so that when the rubber makes its way to the outside, it's actually fully flat on the ground, rather than "peeling up" on the corners. Caber only adds the negative opposite effect of toe in.

Yes I know it is bagged, I know how it all works. I have been doing this for too damn long. My only problem with this thread is his claim that camber doesn't affect the wear of the tire. If he would have stated, the camber is not an issue once I raise the car up. Thats fine. But when asked about the camber wearing out the tires and then state
camber doesnt wear tires, toe does
:goodjob:
yerrow
01-12-2008, 07:34 AM
while camber does contribute some to accelerated tire wear, its more because of toe in or out
stolen from tirerack tech article:
Additionally the vehicle's toe is one of the most critical alignment settings relative to tire wear. A toe setting that is just a little off its appropriate setting can make a huge difference in their wear. Consider that if the toe setting is just 1/16-inch off of its appropriate setting, each tire on that axle will scrub almost seven feet sideways every mile! Extend it out and you'll discover that rather than running parallel to each other, the front tires will scrub over 1/4-mile sideways during every 100 miles of driving! Incorrect toe will rob you of tire life.

uhmm...well..IMHO, there's nothing VIP about this car...other than the color, bags & camber...
VIP insinuates CLASS and STYLE and tons of HP...this car may have HP to make it move but it doesn't have any of the other....
straight from WIKI:
VIP Style refers to the modification of Japanese luxury automobiles to make them more fashionable and even more luxurious. VIP Style are typically large, expensive, rear-wheel drive sedans, though automotive enthusiasts use other cars like minivans and Kei cars. Once associated with the yakuza, VIP Style modifications now are a subset of automotive modification.
Cars associated with VIP Style usually have common characteristics; usually large diameter rims (usually broad faced designs) with low offsets that sit flush with the fender, exhausts that stick out past the rear bumper (although not so much emphasized these days), a full bodykit or lip kit, glossy paint and a lowered ride height (usually with air ride or coilovers). It is not uncommon to see extreme negative camber on many vip cars. Traditional colors of VIP Style cars are usually black, white, grey and silver.
Most VIP Style cars are Japanese luxury cars like the Nissan President, the Toyota Celsior, the Toyota Aristo, and the Nissan Laurel, although many European cars are also known to be modified in such ways (most of them German luxury sedans such as the Mercedes S-Class).
these are VIP Styled Cars:

Please explain? I would love to hear your explination on how camber does not affect tire wear.
For those that are wondering, YES camber and toe will affect tire wear. Caster will not.
To an extent yes
but its not going to wear out your tires in a month
Im going on 4,000 KM now, with no abnormal wear so far. on -18* of camer at ride height.

:umno:
uhmm...well..IMHO, there's nothing VIP about this car...other than the color, bags & camber...
VIP insinuates CLASS and STYLE and tons of HP...this car may have HP to make it move but it doesn't have any of the other....

I'm sorry but I don't get it. The negative camber looks awful. If you could bring the wheels closer to vertical and fixed the poorly fitting parts, and painted it, it would probably look pretty cool.
And why are you making 300hp in something like that?

like I have said before not exactly my cup of tea but the scene is different there from what it is here. I want to see final product but I really wasn't feeling the pink flake but maybe once its all back together my opinon will change. I really liked the wagon when you had it and this car when you first got it but final product will determine my final opinon. good luck man just remember its your car no one elses
