I was thinking about trying to loose one today on the interstate but he didnt turn his lights on.
I saw in a magazine that some of them have the 3.5L V6 in them but I bet the GSP has the HEMI.
How fast are they?

Mine has work done to it an its by all mean stock, runs 160 like its nothing, so if your honda what ever you drive takes along time to reach 160 then no way you can touch these cars, they are alittle heavy 4200 lbs but they pack power, mine came with 350hp stock 390 ft lbs stock am more then that now, details unkown to tell lol

now alot stock r/ts come with a govenor that stops them for going faster then 125, but you can get a programmer to fix that, an cops cars top out at 145 -155 depending on the r/t they got

where i used to live in Braselton, they have an Charger HEMI, Charger SRT, and Magnum SRT. I would advise to run from them.

#6. I've yet to see a S/C'd GSP, Dekalb, Gwinnett, or Fulton car. They have upgraded suspension, ECU, brakes, and sometimes engine packages. Never seen a S/C'd one on the street. It's possible, but highly unlikely. I can make a couple of calls and find out for sure though. I have several friends that are LEO's.
#7. Just made the call to a friend in Dekalb PD. Their Chargers are NOT S/C'd. Only Tac units use them, essentially much like GSP, to chase and write tickets all day long. They are Hemi'd though. So trying to "run" is still a very very stupid idea.

Anybody ran from one or ridden in one?
I was thinking about trying to loose one today on the interstate but he didnt turn his lights on.
I saw in a magazine that some of them have the 3.5L V6 in them but I bet the GSP has the HEMI.
How fast are they?

My dad has a friend in the GSP and according to him Georgia order different versions of the car. some with a V6 for thoes that spend a lot of time in and around smaller towns, V8 for thoes that do "outskirt patrol" around the larger cities, and yes a supercharged version for thoes on full interstate duty.

Its all good. We are just saying that the GSP chargers are not supercharged. Doug something...(second post in the thread) swears that they are, then claimed to be a cop and that his uncle is a cop and drives a supercharged charger. Everyone has raised the BS flag and Doug wont provide pictures of the supercharger but claims that he will meet up with any of us next time he rides with his uncle...Thats basicly it. If you can provide pictures of this supercharged police car, I will gladly eat my words. :cheers:

ok i with draw all previous statments, my bad i only wrote what i was told:doh: but i did go online to find some more info about the cars and on multiple sites it said that the police chargers had a device installed to limit its top speed to 150mph ( but that still doesnt mean that its true)Anyway i have never been in a charger so i dont know what the top speed of one is off the showroom floor .Just wanted to try and clear things up. My bad.

Dodges DO NOT come with a supercharger from the factory. The only thing boosted from the factory were/are the SRT-4 Neon and SRT-4 Caliber. now you might be thinking of the Chrysler Crossfire (SRT-6)..but that isnt a Dodge now is it? That came with an S/C b/c it is an AMG. What about the SRT-10 Line? The Viper and Viper Truck. Still 8.3 N/A. NOT S/C. Now the last line: The SRT line of the Charger/300c(Chrysler) came with a 6.1L N/A motor. NOT SUPERCHARGED YOU STUPID IGNORANT PRICK! go rethink your life, espically since you are a "cop".

Thats a good find. Reps to you. I didnt read all of it, but as I scanned the text, nowhere did it mention anything about superchargers. It didnt even mention the SRT8 version that someone mentioned earlier in the thread. I think thats a false statement as well.

Anyway. I would love to see an SRT version people are claiming exist. That would be interesting but I do believe it. I also bet that somewhere there's supercharged one's as there is a dealer in Texas that sells SRT's supercharged with the warrenty.. For all of you dumb assess go pick up the car and driver issue where they tested the cops cars. The Hemi was limited to 150, column shifter and ran a 14.2 or something.

They have a magnum supercharged all black It was parked outside my apartments one day. Says Gsp in ghost letters. I spoke with the officer he says its a chase vechile. Also most of the gsp i see are the srt8 ones. Thats just me. Also watch out for thise gsp tahoes there sneaky.

I can vouche. There ARE SRT cop cars. In braselton/hoschton (Where im from) we have 3 BRAND NEW Daimler Chrysler cars. 200 Dodge Charger RT, 2006 Dodge Charger SRT, and Dodge Magnum SRT. We have 2 SRT models up here. Freaked me out at first...i was like W T F MATE!!?!?
