Has anyone took a car on a train ride with them? Like for example LA? I've seen some of the vdub guys do it, but I have no idea how much it is. Anyone have an idea?

I want to be able to take my car with me out there, and then back again, without driving it and putting all those miles on it or having something happen to it along the way.

I had a co-worker ship her car out there on a truck and it was $900 also. But I want to go like on a train ride while having my car with me on the same train. Kinda like the train you took to New York Paul. You remember telling me? I've been wanting to go ever since haha

It should be less because of the fact that they can make so much more money by shipping bulk. But then again it may be more because you are not some sort of dealer that moves bulk...

It's called the Amtrack Auto Train. To those of you who misunderstood the initial question, it's where you but a train ticket and they load your car into a car carrier on the back of the train and when you get to your destination, they unload it and give it to you to drive around.
