I am having K04's put on my S4 right now, it has APR Stage 1 software... after the install, to upgrade the software for the K04 setup, will it cost more money or will it be free.

and i dont want GIAC

your car will be a beast with those K04's. but why don't you want to go with GIAC?

i doubt it will be free... who is doing the install? and why not GIAC? if you were gonna go GIAC i could possibly get you a deal on software. crazy not to go GIAC if you have to buy software.... GIAC makes hella more torque then APR.

you need to check out sport compact 2007 challenge and see the GIAC powered S4 that won the challenge over loads of cars like: turbo supra, c5, 350z, m3, etc

yeah i talked to Brian about getting a deal on software and he wouldnt come down on price, so i called J3 Motorsport about upgrading the APR software and they said it was free, so i went and payed a half hour of labor and now I have stage 2... FO FREE!

well thats a good deal; you can't beat free, but if you don't have software GIAC is the way to go you can't beat the torque. :bannana:

GIAC does make more power, i just dont have the $ to switch, i think GIAC runs more boost, which makes since of the power difference..... My S4 spikes 19-20lbs, does anyone know how many pounds GIAC runs?

i know julios 225tt spiked at 24psi and held at 20-21psi, my 1.8t spiked at 21psi and held at 17-19psi... it isn't that they run more psi to make power it is the tune they are running. i ran multi programs on my 1.8t and race ran maybe 1 more psi which wasn't much at all but the tune made like 10-15whp/20-25lbs more... GIAC just runs a more aggressive tune.
