I was wondering if i could get some input about the car, i'm looking into getting this car next week and if you guys can give me some pro's and con's about the sti i would really appreciate it. Its a beautiful car and i think it has an amazing engine, i just want alot of peoples perspective on the sti. and also if there are any sti owners out there let me know how you like your the car!

I don't know to much problems that come with an STi. I've driven acouple, and I love it. The car feels nice and the power, even stock comes up quick. I personally love the looks of the STi, I own an 06 Wrx, so I really like this look. If you want to make decent power, it doesn't take much money to gain a good amount of power.

Im sure you already know the specs of it. So there really isn't a reason to type all it's information down. Since you have an accord, it's going to be a pretty big upgrade, don't get to carried away with it. And learn the car before you go around acting like you're a professional car driver.

Also, hit up www.wrxatlanta.com you can find alot more information there.

thanks alot man, im def gonna take it slow. im not like the spoiled brats that live around alpharetta, im paying for my car so im gonna treat it like a queen. and one more question.. are the evo's that much better then the sti's??? i mean i personally i like the sti's appearance alot better, and ive looked up the specs on both and the sti has a around 20 more horsepower and torque and weighs almost the same but all the reviews say its faster??

Lolol. The STi vs. Evo debate is as old as the bible itself.

Straight up, yeah. They are faster. Not by alot, but enough for them to act cocky and think they're car is superior, which isn't true. But when you see evo's hitting 11's, and alot of STi's only hitting 12's, I mean come on. I've raced 5-6 different evo's before, and have only lost to two.

I'll find some threads that have arguements on both, and i'll post them up for you to read(if you're interested), just so you can know alittle more about the two.

yeah bro the white with the gold bbs is freaking hot, hows the top speed on them??

Maniac1
01-05-2008, 03:05 PM
Top speed? It says 160 on an Sti's gauge, and I've seen video's of Sti's hitting that speed, I've hit 150 on my Wrx. So it's possible, It's nothing to be proud of, but yeah.

Evo's are nice, so are Sti's. Some like evo's better others like sti's. If you like the Sti better, I would just go with it, not even think about it twice. Hopefully you get it, make sure to keep us updated.

wow ky, u're jumping all over those boosted beats huh? =P

there's a guy on here contemplating on selling his s2000 for a sti/evo. Take his side of the story in consideration before you change your mind about the sti

I love Greg's white STi in my sig. White with bronze, black, or gunmetal wheels look great (actually true with just about any color car :)).

I don't drive an STi (just a lowly wrx) but I can definitely say that you won't regret it. They're great cars all around.

im thinkin about just biting my wallet and eating ramen for a couple ofyears and picking up an 06 sti. but im not sure yet. i need positive reinforcements. DO EEETTTTT!!

OP: honestly i wouldn't get an s2k... it's really fanboy's car and the ricers will nickpick at you all day. at least with a subbie you'll have a little more power with it. plus insurance will rape you.

lol ok this is the last time im changing my mind. i did alot of research on the s2k and i dont like it because it recieves its power at really high rpms, i found a guy with a really sick white evo, and hes giving me the best price i could ever ask for. it only has 10k miles on it and its going for around 26. he has alot of tastefull mods on it i'll post it in a min. but hopefully i'll be an evo owner by the end of this week =))

by the way the evo is a 2005 with 10k miles on it white, mint condition. i havent seen it yet but if everything goes according to planned i will see the car this weekend. he sounds like an all around really genuine guy, im looking forward to meeting him. and does anybody know if autofab does car inspections?? i wanna take it in somewhere that pretty well known before i buy the car.

dont buy a car to impress people imo.
do it cuz you like it and have a hell of a deal.

if your heart is set on it, then by all means go for it.

Don't get your heart set on it before you even get to see it in person and check it out. But if it's as nice as it seems, I'd jump on it in a heart beat
