*What it's like to be a minority.
*That Aki is a poisonous fruit that you eat for breakfast.
*That no one in Jamaica knows how to use their brakes.
*There are pretty much only one lane roads in Jamaica.
*You have to be a rally driver to drive in Jamaica.
*No one obeys traffic laws.
*It's ganja and not weed (and it is NOT legal but highly accepted).
*Shrooms are legal.
*Irie is a saying from the 80's and should not be used in today's times...along with booyaka.
*You should instead use bumba clot or bumba ras clot.
*They really do say Ya Mon.
*I like beef patties rather than chicken patties.
*I do not like salt fish!!!!! OR bread fruit!!!!!!

There is a bunch more and i will update later. I am just killing time in the airport during my lay over.

We were in Jamaica for 10 days and only went to the beach 3 of those days. We stayed with a Jamaican family in Mandeville. We went to the following during our visit:
*Mandeville
*Kingston (fat fu.cking house party New years eve with 1500 ppl)
*Negril
*Junction (for a "wet n slide" event wherein they drift in a VERY small parking lot)
*St. Elizabeth
*Black River
*Mo Bay
*Dunn's River (falls)

I went to jamaica a few years back and riding down the road was scary as hell. People will pass other people even if a car is coming.

I have been to Jamaica once. but I never left the airport... I was headed to St. Lucia... They also don't believe in Hygiene.. I had to sit behind a huge biotch on the way home and I held my break the hole way!!

Lol, you could have asked any Jamaican any of that. And Aki isn't only eaten for breakfast, though it is common for breakfast. My grandmother makes some mean Aki. Seems like you stayed out of the country for the most part. And we really only say "Ya mon" to the tourists...it honestly is played out as much as "Booyaka". More commonly used would be "ya" or something along the lines of "Unh mon", basically an affirming nod + "mon".

Need to take yo ass into the country where you have to go to the Tap for water, and boil it for warm water. Where theres 1 TV in the town still if your lucky, and thats brought in from one long ass cord drawn from the street lamps. "Teefin the Gov'ments money."

I knew a girl who went to Jamaica with her family, and while there her dad went to find an ATM (outside of their hotel/resort compound), and these guys said they knew where one was and led him into a building, where they processed to rob and then kill him.

Kinda soured Jamaica for me.

There were rent-a-dreds everywhere!!!!!! It was insane.

We stayed in the country...where they boil water and clean their clothes and bathe in the river and use outhouses. It's kind of where we stayed by Mandeville. There was almost no civilization. We stayed with a local and his family and even they didn't have hot water all of the time and they are higher class. We went to the beach 2 of the 10 days we were there, so we didn't see much tourist stuff.....and everyone says Ya mon :) if it's played out, they are definitely still rocking it everywhere I went.

There are also all these little "bars" in the hills. They are like every 2 houses. Also, there is ALWAYS music playing everywhere you go...no matter what :D

WTF no disposable cameras???Dude! Do you know where we were? I had a hard time finding tampons! We were in the country where they have no running water.

BTW, I forgot to say, we saw 4 car accidents while we were there and one dead person wo got hit by a car on the side of the road. Oddly enough we didnt see any dead dogs, goats, or cows on the side of the road.

So w/ that being said. I guess you didn't get to try out the local DARK MEAT!! hahaha j/k Yeah nothing beats the YARD!! I really miss going back to Guyana and Jamaica. The music, the food, and ease of getting guns!! Can't beat it.

Oh and how the hell do you hate Salt-fish. Did you have it w/ Bake? It's great just like Bun and Cheese.

I had some curry goat :)

I don't like fish in general, so the salt fish was REALLY not my taste. I love the jerk chicken and pork though...and the Aki was ok.
