does anyone know what to do to start drifting in gt4,i know in forza 1 you have to turn off traction and something else to drift, well atleast thats what i did,but i dont know how to do that in GT4,if anyone knows what im talking about please let me know.

1 more question,is there any cheats for all cars or a lot of money in GT4?

Thanks

You have to turn off the traction. I 4got where to do that but it might be where you can adjust your upgrades like suspension or something

turn off the traction and stability. It's under the settings/options when you start a race. When you start, select the Settings option (looks like a red tool chest if I'm not mistaken... it's red regardless though) and then look for the TCS and select that, and then take it down to 0.

IMO Drifting in GT4 is harder than in forza, and i have nearly completed both. In forza you can more or less just turn off tcs and stm then drift away... Gt4 is alot more complicated... had more to do with the car setup

pick a fr car first to get started with around 400hp....not a race car

an m3 or a built silvia for instance.

set the tires to : road tires... give me the most control

then start to learn... ive always used apricot hill espically for that first section of left right combinations.

1. how to drift side to side on the straights
2. then be able to control snap oversteer
3. be able to come into a turn from a straight whether weiving or braking to get the tail out.
4. learn to use the hand brake to keep the slide and the brake/accelerator to strighten or loosen the car.
5. play with the camber and toe to your liking and adjust as needed
6. its all fell but once thats down jump in that hks silvia and do the entire track sideways.

its much harder than forza 2 because of crazy charchteristic of snap oversteer but teaches you to be fast with the reactions.

ok i found the tool box thing/settings,and i didnt see the TCS thing.

Now, this menu should be under either the Options or Settings before you start a race. I unfortunatly don't have the game anymore, or this would be literally no trouble at all... But look for that Driving Assists menu...

EDIT: they removed the pic... bastards. lol

It also has a lot to do with your suspension setup.

Go to GT4planet.com and search for the drift setups. There's a page for just about every RWD car in the game.

you're gonna need a game shark for money and whatnot.
i used it cause i didn't feel like doing so many races and i got like 200 cars and just about every wheel in the game.

don't use it....it sucks. i'm about to restart the game just to play it!
