best 19" tires???

for a car that makes about 500 rwhp.. REAR WHEEL.. what is the best 19" tire to use? probably in a 265/30 on 9.5" wheel. do they even make a drag radial in 19" yet? :thinking:

Dan, I remember reading a magazine review on a lot of high performance street tires and the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 won (or high ranking) in best pricing, wet, dry, & treadwear. They make it in the size you want; TireRack sells it for "$226 Special" price.

I also hear good things about the BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW-2 which TireRack sells for "$239 Special" pricing.

Yeah them Eagle F1 are some pretty good tires... That was my second choice to the G force...

What are you doing? There is not really a "best". If you want best all around you will have to make some compromises.

Probably the KDW2. There is no drag radial offered in 19".

i really liked my nitto 555, i hit a big ass screw on the hwy which blew out the tire at 80 mph... i was able to drive the car for about 1 mile w/o any rim damage going roughly 50 mph; once i stopped the inside of the tire was shredded from the screw
