Please show a source that says Barack Obama has any ties to anything muslim in his blood line?
I'll just go ahead and quote myself:
I am tired but I'll go ahead and type up a response before I head to bed, this thread is a good basis for my argument that not all people need the right to vote.
First off if you are not born a U.S citizen you cannot run for president, Barack Obama was born in Hawaii. His father is Kenyan and his mother is white, and he's Christian not Muslim.
Look deeper and actually research rather than take what the media feeds you and you will realize that:
A. as a person Barack is not all that bad (although I do not agree with a lot of his policies)
B. Everything the media feeds you is not the gospel.
The "middle east" dealings you speak of have to do with a school he attended in Indonesia. Fox news tried to spin it as a school that had anti american sentiment but CNN actually traveled TO the school and proved that to be false.
On the Flag issue, he took the lapel pin off of his suit and stated he does not need to display the flag to be patriotic. Was it a good political move? Not entirely because a lot of uninformed people who eat up whatever the media feeds them will run with it as you guys have done here. BUT the move appeals to his voters who are momentarily disgraced by the mentality America has, and how our image has been tarnished across the globe.
My advice is at least educate yourself before forming an opinion or attempting to state facts without basis. I am not a democrat but if you look at the panel of democratic hopefuls it reflects the diversity of America (Black, Female, Hispanic) more than any other panel in the history of this country.. be proud that we have come so far that a woman and/or minority can be considered for the presidency.

well then i guess you proved me wrong, but his middle name is still hussein and his first name ryhmes with OSAMA so ill take that and not vote for him at all, hes not republican anyways so i won't vote for him regardless. That flag thing pissed me off, thats still unacceptable no matter what he was trying to prove. While not putting his lapel piece on he also didnt have his hand over his heart while EVERYONE else did.

lol You are a damn good example of why southerners get the stereotype that they are all stupid. So by your logic if I name my child Hitler that means he wants to rid the world of Jews.. of better yet if his name just RHYMES with Hitler he will want to become an evil dictator.
Hussein in the Muslim world is a common middle name, no different than say.. Mary Anne in the south but I guess because one supposed dictator was named that its an evil name from now on.
I've also posted on the flag thing before:
I have a couple of things to present on Obama's "un-american" actions. First the video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxfvxKBXRM4
His reaction:
“My grandfather taught me how to say the Pledge of Allegiance when I was 2,” Obama said, his annoyance obvious. “During the Pledge of Allegiance you put your hand over your heart. During the national anthem you sing.”
On the Lapel Pin:
“Somebody noticed I wasn’t wearing a flag lapel pin and I told folks, well you know what? I haven’t probably worn that pin in a very long time. I wore it right after 9/11. But after a while, you start noticing people wearing a lapel pin, but not acting very patriotic. Not voting to provide veterans with resources that they need. Not voting to make sure that disability payments were coming out on time.
“My attitude is that I’m less concerned about what you’re wearing on your lapel than what’s in your heart. And you show your patriotism by how you treat your fellow Americans, especially those who served. You show your patriotism by being true to our values and our ideals and that’s what we have to lead with is our values and our ideals.”
I don't agree with some of his policies but c'mon now if you're going to criticize the guy at least use facts rather than these made up stories..

so he has 2 muslim names, BUT HES NOT MUSLIM? Something is wrong here. You can call me a southerner but i dont speak like a southerner, i dont have southern courtesy and 85% of my family lives north of washington DC. I dont care what his views are on what others wear and how they act doing it, he should continue to do what should be done and show how he can act right.
**** that stupid flag pin anyways who really gives a **** besides the people who are gunghoe(sp?) about america

Did you even read what I posted?
“My grandfather taught me how to say the Pledge of Allegiance when I was 2,” Obama said, his annoyance obvious. “During the Pledge of Allegiance you put your hand over your heart. During the national anthem you sing.”
He puts his hand over his heart for the pledge and at his side for the National Anthem.

i pledge allegiance to myself sorry

the rest of this country leaves their hand over their heart for the national anthem as well, you aren't expected to sing the anthem. You are however expected to respect it the same.

I have an African Middle name but I'm not African. I'm actually closer to Spanish or Indian than African. My Dad traveled through Africa while he was in college in England and he loved the culture and people. My brother has all Muslim names(Muhammed Elijah Abrams). My Dad is 7 Day Adventist and My mom is Episopal. My grandfather on my mom's side is Chinese and Caribbean and my grandmother on my mom's side is Indian and Caribbean. My Dad's father is American Indian and English(England) and his mother was Caribbean.
I know that's a long spill but you can't stereotype someone in America off of someone's name. Go out to California-EVERYBODIES MIXED OUT THERE!! There Black Philipinos, Spanish Chinese, and on and on. I have a black friend that was adopted by Jews and he's named Rueben Balshi

Well my last name is French and Southern, but I'm born no where near the south. Beauregard is a southern name. I think its even Lousianan' (If I got that right) But I'm born in Syracuse, NY. And none of my family is from the south, not even my grandma.

Now though if you quote this state your race when you do, I wanna make a little poll....Nooooobody is dumber than Bush, NOOOOO body. Ur republican moral should be broken because of one man that can destroy 2 countries at once.
I mean... that is a skill and all, but neither of the countries u destroy in the process should be your own.:goodjob:
