We are babysitting my brother-in-law's Teacup Chihuahua while he's out of town. They have a full grown Chihuahua and just got this one as his "friend", although as you will soon see.....he could be better described as a snack instead of "friend" for anything larger than white mouse.
Excuse the terrible pics, but I had to shoot it at 1600 ISO since it was so impromptu.
Here she is on our table:

Here she is INSIDE a coffee cup to compare size:

Here she is in my wife's hands, again to compare size:

Finally, here our daughter is introducing her to our cat. Yes, that's a regular sized cat and not some Godzilla in Japan cat....:D :

It's crazy. It's like having a newborn all over again. This dog is so spoiled. You have to hand feed it. All it does is sleep, eat, and $#!+. You have to stand there and put it on some little wuss diaper pad thing to use the bathroom as soon as it wakes up from it's 50 naps a day. At night, it yelps for about 10 mins when you put it in the crate to sleep.
Give me a big dog over a little yap yap dog anyday.
My brother-in-law owes me.
I will admit she's funny to watch bounce around every once in a while.

She is cute, when she's doing something besides sleeping. It's like she rests only to spend all her energy in a short burst bouncing all over the place....then goes back to sleep. It's funny.
My wife loves yap yap lap dogs, so this is right up her alley. She wanted to the dog to sleep with us, but I told her I'd be afraid to squash her.
My Sheppard didn't know what to do. He kept just looking at her and was at full attention for the longest time last night. I can't let him near her though because he's still a young rough dog. His turds are bigger than her.....:lmfao:

I saw one sticking it's head out of a car window yesterday. If you'd told me sooner, I could've snagged the ugly bastage. :D

I watched a friends Chihuahua while they were in jail for a little bit. It was a scared little thing. I have a 35lb Border Collie but he's so smart he knows when to be gentle.
For example my dog loves Tug of War. And when he plays me he tries to yank my arm off. The Chihuahua grabs his tug bone and my dog does to but he just sits there with it while the Chi tries to yank it. He would stand up then sit down to I guess give the illusion of trying. It was amazing.
I'm not a fan of small dogs but I guess I can see the appeal to others.

Scrappy, what up GF? Long time no see. Where've you been?
The dog is tiny. We had to take her to the vet today because it kept like sneezing and coughing. It had just had it's shot for kennel cough before Jason brought her over. Joan was worried something was wrong, so she took her this afternoon to our vet. She has a respiratory infection. She HATES the medicine. She'll be fine though. The funny was......she weighed .9 lbs. YES, that's a decimal in front of the number. She weighs LESS than a pound!!! :screwy:

She's funny because she sneezes and then starts wagging her tail like crazy getting all hyper.....sneezes, gets hyper....she's a trip. It's literally like watching a cartoon in real life.

Stop playin'......:D
We bought him back in March of this past year. I tracked down his breeder to a place in Kentucky. Lady was super nice and even sent me his full lineage plus pics of his parents. I'm sending her birthday pics of him from his first birthday.
I had a puppy pic of him on the same bed somewhere. Ima dig them up. I'm going to start his hardcore training soon. :goodjob:

I'm for real. I'm not saying you took him or anything by all means, but he looks just like him. I miss my dog like crazy man. I can't wait till I fence my yard up and get another one. These dogs are AWESOME. The pictures are somewhere on the other computer. I'll be sure to post them up later. What kind of training you taking him through?

Oh I know you weren't saying Max was yours. :D
I had another one for about 16 yrs. She was the best dog ever. Ultra protective, but perfect with anyone she knew or we allowed. She was the best. We trained her ourselves.
I'm going to try and do the same with Max, but a little more protective service oriented. He's already VERY protective. I put on a wig from a Halloween costume and some sunglasses, and he went nuts. He charged and everything. He wasn't having it AT ALL. The wife and kids loved it, but it was a little nerve racking for me. I was afraid I wouldn't get the wig and glasses off fast enough. He was really pissed.
He's only a yr old, so I'm letting him get over the puppy stage. I'm going to now start slowly until about age of 2 in working with him. We also have a friend of ours that used to train K9 dogs for the Police dept. She's going to help us too.
Only concern that I have is that he's too skinny for me. I'm not used to slim bodied Sheppards. According to the vet, he has nothing at all. He says that some full blooded Sheppards are like that. Some of the reading I've done confirms that, but I'd like for him to be more stout. I'm working on upping his food to try and plump him up some. He already eats 6-7 cups/day. We'll see.
