wireless gaming questions...

i've got a 360, and i just moved.. putting me out of range for an ethernet cable connection....

i don't wanna spend 100 bucks on a microsoft wireless adapter....

so whats the best out there to get???

i'm above and to the right of my wireless router (idk my connection speeds, i just moved into a new house, roommate had all of it set up before i ever moved in.. i will be finding out though) in my bedroom....

i was told a "belkin wireless g usb adapter" would work... but i don't think the range on those is good enough... but i don't wanna spend more than like 50 bucks or so... and i for sure don't want to lag out all the time..

any suggestions?

ps3 has built in wireless like a laptop, 360 needs an external adapter. honestly, i dont know if you can use anything besides microsofts...im sure they made it difficult for you NOT to buy their product. But if that isnt the case, im sure any usb wireless network adapter would work. If you are willing to experiment, get a cheap belkin from officemax or something, I think i found one for under 20 bucks. Or just google "wireless internet with 360" im sure some gamer forums have already discussed this...
