Ok, but the rb26 was a race engine homoligated for competition with the gtr roadcars.

the ej motor was a standard production car motor modified for racing.

Basically the best way to describe what im saying, compare a honda b16b with a d15

1. higher compression
2. higher displacement
3. more volumetrically efficient
4. one was designed with high performance the other had to be thought to perform high.

Rivel doesnt always mean engine.. thats true and 6 vs 4 isn't always that far apart . The displacement of the Subi 4 (ej25) is almost identical to the Nissan. the only reason that the rb is better to me is that it has a wider power band .
