I just did a d16 to b18 swap in my 98 Civic. Got everything all wired and connected and the car wouldn't start. I thought it was the starter, had it checked and it was bad. Got a new starter and car still won't start.

With either starter, if I bypass the solenoid, the starter will work and the gear will extend. But, when I bolt it into the tranny and wire it the proper way, I get nothing.

I hit up H-T for some tips, the ones I tried haven't corrected the problem.

Any help is greatly appreciated as I would like to drive my car and not my gf's old granny mobile.

Thanks...:D

I got it, the ground wire on the tranny to the chassis was all corroded. Replaced it with a new wire and it fired right up.

Now, the car misfires like crazy when throttle is applied. Think it might be a injector(s). Gonna swap some others in and see what happens.

Timing is fine, had a cracked injector and I think the ignition coil is fried. Gonna replace it and see what happens.
