okay this is a fresh motor if i listed everythign done to it it would be way to long so here are the basics

sr20det redtop
wiesco pistons
eagle rods
hks 264 272 cams
toda solid lifters
blah blah blah :blah:

okay here is the issue car cranked after priming ran fine once the ecu un screwed its self. but there is no oil gettting to the cams. the oil squirters on top of the cams stay dry. i have pulled them off blew air through them and there clear, also without them installed no oil through the galleys in the cam caps. so my question is what in the world could cause this everything cam out of the hot tank less than a week ago all new parts everything new.
new oil pump

also there is supposedly an o ring on the front cover (oil pump that goes to the outlet from the pump, if this gets rv around it what would be the results. would they be the same if the o ring wasnt there

any and all assistance will be greatly apreciated i am stumped

Its really common for SR oil pans to get dented in during motor shipping, so check that first. It is the lower oil pan, the clearance is really tight (less than a quarter inch). Take the pan off and look for an oval mark where the pickup was hitting, and bend it back out if you see one. Should be quick, you can do it with the motor and sway bar still installed.

Do you have oil pressure at all, Its pretty odd for you to just not get oil to the head. Sounds like you have a dead pump or the pick up isn't getting oil.

its a brand new greddy oil pan so the dent is not an issue, it could be the pick up is to low i will check that first thing. i get 40 psi of oil pressure just nothing to the top of the head the cam area

Hmmm, just going to throw something out there but are you sure the HG is not the issue? My memory is a little fuzzy but I remember reading something from one dude that installed a B13 SR20DE headgasket and blocked some oil passages to the head. Im probably mistaken but hey, worth a look I guess :)

I looked at some pics online and they seemed identical, I think I was mistaken.

actually view this image and you can see the diffrences,

from the cometic sight

there are 2 extremly diffrent head gaskets but here is the discription from the site

it says sr20de/det 91-96 16v 2.0l (rwd) 2 int. oil holes or sr20de/det 91-96 16v 2.0l (fwd) no additional oil holes
