Borg Warner Turbosystems/ www.BullseyePower.com (http://www.BullseyePower.com) is working a deal with MMP(Montgomery Motorsports Park) to have an import event with a total payout of $100,000. This will be the largest payout at an import event in history. It is still in discussions but this thing may happen. All I know is that it will have bracket and heads up classes. What do you guys think?

Tracy.

It'll be great if they can actually get this event to really happen. As soon as turbodano said that it was going to be held at one of the fastest tracks in the SE and it is a spectaculer venue I figured he meant Valdosta b/c so many NHRA Pro cars rent that track out for tuning and dial in.

Hey guy's I am here at Montgomery Motor sports park in Montgomery, Alabama and it looks like the weekend of the 13,14,15th of June 2008 is open and does not conflict with any other schedule. Also it looks like all the pro racers will be on this side of the united states?

Also what kind of racing would you like to see? Bracket, heads up or both?

Also say hello to Howard racing they are willing to take a chance on the Import market. Incase you dont know the gang at Howard racing they are the guy's that put on the Million dollar race every year.

This is quote from Dan at BorgWarner/BullsEyePower on when they are trying to schedule the event for.

I dont think Dan is a bull****ter so this is gonna happen. I just hope they do it at MMP or a close track. Dan was at the Hangovers Nats this past weekend where it was brought up.

it's official send contact info about you and your car to

On the payouts we can do a progressive payout based on people that show up for each class. This type of payout does 2 things it makes you market this race and the other is a result of how well we market our race, which is the total payout goes up based on how many cars show up.

cars entry fee Payout per class
7 second entries 100 $250.00 $20,000.00
8 second entries 50 $250.00 $10,000.00
9 second entries 100 $200.00 $10,000.00
10 second cars 100 $150.00 $10,000.00
11 second 125 $150.00 $12,550.00
12 second 150 $75.00 $7,500.00
13 second 100 $75.00 $5,000.00

Guy's if this happens that means there is $75,000 on the line to be paid out. This does not include the bracket class. To keep the rules to a minimum we can do heads up index racing. For example 2 seven second cars run heads up and the first one to the finish wins unless they go faster than 7.00 et. In the case which both drivers do that the one who goes closest to 7.00 wins.

what he said above. We really need to work and make this a success. The import industry as a whole is suffering right now.

OK fellas here are the rules we came up with for the June 13th, 14th, 15th race. Keep in mind we wanted to include every sport compact racer out there. That is a tall task to do without tons of rules and lots of tech.
So here ya go.

Alabama Race Rules
The race director will have the final decisions in all rules, interpretations of the rules, questions and/or protests. These issues will be left to the final discretion of the race officials and may be changed at any time if the situation dictates.

NO COURTESY STAGING RULES ARE IN EFFECT

The Following Devices are Illegal: (And Have to Be Completely Removed from Car)
*Electronic / Pneumatic / or any Remotely Activated Throttle Stops
* Delay Boxes
*Cross-Over Boxes
*Electric / Hydraulic Pneumatic Shifters (All Shifts Must Be Made by Driver)
*Any and All "Traction Control Devices"

All cars will adhere loosely to NHRA guidelines as far as all safety concerns, however the tech dept reserves the right to DQ any car for any major infractions ie: don’t show up with a 9.99 sec car with no roll bar/cage

First or second round buy backs will be allowed in the race, meaning you can buy back in, but only once. If you are eliminated in the first or second round you will be allowed to buy back in to the race. The buy back price is 50% of the original entry fee of which, a percentage of every buy back will go to a local charity to try and help those less fortunate than the rest of us

Bracket cars must accept their dial ins. The scoreboard will show your dial-in before you stage your car. If you stage your car, and the scoreboard is showing an incorrect time, it indicates that you have accepted that dial-in as yours. Once the car is staged no protests will be allowed regarding bad dial ins. It is your responsibility to ensure the scoreboard is showing the correct dial in for your car.

Heads up classes will be indexed, with a soft index. For example, in the 10 second class, if there are 100 cars, whose ET’s range from 10.00-10.99 the class average should be approx 10.50, which is where the index will be set. There will be a soft index setup, which will give a margin of error. Each pairing of cars will still try to cross the finish line first. However if car “A” crosses the line with a 10.45, and car “B” crosses the line with a 10.48 Car “A” will advance to the next round, providing car “A” crosses the finish line first. Sticking to the “heads up” idea, cars will try to run faster than their opponent in the next lane without running faster than the margin of error in the index.

ANY AND ALL DRIVERS MEETINGS ARE MANDATORY.
The reason for this is simple. If there are any rule amendments, or announcements to be made, all drivers and or car owners MUST be in attendance to remain informed

The classes are simple they will be broken into 7.00 class, 8.00, 9.00, 10.00 and so on. The class average will be determined after removing the outliers in the class. What that means is if we had 100 cars in the class we would remove the top 10 and the bottom 10 from the equation making a much better average based on what the bulk of the class is running.

Drivers will be allowed to run in more than one class.

Since the rules have been posted we need an official car count on who will be coming.
Please send an email to [email protected]

A small deposit will be required before you can be counted in the official car count. This way we have a firm number on what the payouts are going to be and who is really coming. Remember this is a progressive payout race so the more people that come the higher the payout is going to be.

When you make your deposit it also allows you to choose your pit parking in the same order you preregistered. We will be grouping the classes in order of car needs and you will have preference in the class you will be racing in.

Also you may prepay for your tech card if you choose to do so you will get half off on your tech cads as well.

If a rain out happens, the new race date will be in November after the race season has ended. All tickets and entries will remain good for the new date.
