View Full Version : So, there is a unique Porsche turbo in north Atlanta now...

A buddy of mine, who some of you might have seen at the old North Point meets, just came back from LA with his new toy. He used to have an estoril blue 2000 BMW M coupe (for those that saw).

He has replace it with a new blue...

The color is bad-ass. It was a "match to color" option at the factory. Bugatti Blue is the official name. Oh, and these pics are a little old. The car no longer has the "bumper warts" on the front.

15k on the clock. Not bad for an '01... Anyway, I'm sure those of you that live up near Exit 7A/B on GA 400 will see this around a lot.

not bad. Some wheels will set it off though. maybe tint the windows, carbon the trunk/ lip and tie it together with some carbon wheels. A little something to break up the Blue a bit.

Yeah, it doesn't take much. The stock internals can handle just south of 640whp.

As for beating the Chevy, I think that in a real race he might do so. Given the suspension and brakes that he will throw on, Road Atlanta/VIR/Roebling/etc will be waiting.

He's going to race it for real: on the circuit track.

No, I owned a 911 turbo for almost 5 years, but I have never heard of any of those.

However, in the 996 turbo commmunity across the US, carbon fiber is rarely used in the after market.

By the way, yes, I know of Gemballa, RUF, TechArt, etc very well. I don't necessarily agree with their methods at times, however. Sometimes they just go a bit "over the top" in a sense. It takes away from the TRUE look and feel of the Porsche design.

I would bet those OEM colored interior pieces (yes OEM) cost more than some peoples cars.
Porsche options ARE NOT for the faint of heart!

And because they're OEM and over-priced automatically means they're nice and look good? :screwy: Baby/light/sky/whatever blue interiors are ugly and :gay: no matter what car they're in and how much they cost. Sh!t isn't tasteful at all

True. I mean, you can't treat a 911 like a Honda...you can't rice it out. You can't just start slapping on carbon fiber pieces....I mean, what the ****?

I agree with you on that one. You can't treat a Porsche like a riced out Honda.....for example, baby blue interior pieces

It's an option from the factory. I've seen interior pieces match for red, yellow, black, blue, etc in the 911s.

I just can't wait to hear someone asking somebody else about their [______insert rice here]:

-"Why do you have that ugly ass color matched, baby blue interior?"
-"Dude it's a Porsche interior! Pfft, your such a ricer"

here ya go rice boys, i took this picture yesterday in stuttgart.. i thought about this thread so i took it.. here, its a interior matched option from the dealership.. its 2,704 euros for that yellow piece.. 3,980 dollars.. its rice..:lmfao:

though, prices in germany are crazy.. they had my exact car at the dealership with ~10,000km less, or 6000 miles and it was asking 47,000 euros, or $$70,000..

Is that before or after the taxes put on performance cars? Get ready to pay 15% on top of that if that's w/o taxes lol.

Making a DC2 look like a JDM Type R:

Making a Turbo Porsche look like a GT3, RS, ETC.

so just cause something is expensive, it cant be rice or tacky? Must be why donald trump wheres that 15k wig, cause if it was a 100 dollar one people wouldnt like it and it would look like **** lol

By the logic you Porsche fanboys are using, if it costs $10,000 to paint and install an ugly bodykit it's automatically nice.

This has nothing to do with it being a factory option or not. Ugly is ugly no matter who puts it on or how much it costs.

You can think its tacky, that is fine. People can think its ugly, that is fine.

It sure as hell isn't rice. Now making a stock 911 look like a GT3 could be considered "rice".

 you really can't make a turbo porshce look like a GT3 or a GT3 RS... unless you want to unwiden it.. about an inch on each side..

what, a roll cage, diffrent color wheels?

the interior matched parts are very tasteful.. if seen in person, it looks really good.. also, that color looks good in person, but i agree the pics dont do justice..

um. i didn't say that.. price was irrelevant to it being rice.. i was just sharing how expensive it is in europe, hence i mentioned the price diffrence between mine and the one i saw at the dealership!!!!!!
