So I get a call today from my boss telling me that our shop got broken into last night. The guy took a rock and busted the window in the door out. Crawled in and spent 2 minutes grabbing ****. Left for about half an hour and came back once no cops showed up. Spent about 20 more minutes grabbing **** and then left. Busted 2 display cases and pulled stereos and speakers from the audio display.

The motion detector was not set because the police told him that if there were any more false alarms because of it they would fine him.. The guy never opened the door so no alarm was ever set off. Guy was wearing a mask and gloves. No good video shots.

So now we have to wait until thursday for the insurance adjuster to come assess the damage.

Thank you to the Henry County Police Dept. for giving my boss a reason to turn off the motion detector that could have prevented most of the damage...

If anyone sees a bunch of random audio stuff or alarms being sold out the back of a car let us know.

no, Im not completely sure what the deal with the motion detector was but it was going off enough that we wouldnt be able to afford the bill from hcpd. its set now and I think my boss is ready to tell the police **** off if they try to fine him...

its probably set to sensisitive, does it has an adjustment on how big something has to be to set it off?? probably get set off by every small little thing like mice.

I'd blame the security company moreso than the police, its not the cops fault that they had to waste time on false alarms.. sorry to hear about the shop by the way.

ah damn, that sucks. never been in there but pass by everyday on the way home. almost seems as the thief knew that the windows didn't have shock sensors...

man, you guys really need to figure out what is causing your faux alarms. I had that problem in my house. It ended up being the curtains. Everytime the heat or A/C would kick on it would move the curtains and set off the alarm.

Yeah, well I dont know about the sensitivity but I just hope the issue is solved. The dumbass only stole like 3000 worth of stereo stuff but left a set of 3000 rims sitting there and a 1100 in dash tv. And there was a car in the back that he could have taken, it would have set off the alarm to get it out but he could have been gone if he had wanted to not to mention 40,000 in tools and such. oh well I guess we got lucky to an extent.
