I have one of those though. I know it sounds dumb, but if the walmart near you still carries guns, they have a special package that already comes with scope rings and a halfway decent scope for a good price.

Sure you can. As long as the gun is powerful enough to kil the animal without 'undue stress', and I think a .50BMG falls into that category...lmao
